I don't like the standard look of WebMP, so I started to edit the stylesheet (css) a littlebit so I don't have to be ashamed when I show WebMP to my friends :p

This is NOT a skin, maybe I will make one, but for now it's just a nicer stylesheet. This is how it looks:

How to install:
Overwrite Site.css in c:\Program Files (x86)\MPExtended\WebMediaPortal\www\Content\
With this file: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/21558454/WebMP/Site.css

I hope you like it :)

    Wow, looks good!

If you want to use this a skin, it's quite easy:
    • Create a folder with the name of the skin in www\Skins
    • Create a Content folder inside the skin directory
    • Put the Site.css in that Content folder
    • Select the skin in the Settings menu
    • You're done!
Advantage of 'installing' it that way is that it won't be overwritten with future MPExtended updates.

I had to restart the WebMediaportal service for it to pick up the the new skin in Settings. Looks quite good, using it now.

Oh I'm working on a skin now, here is a preview:

It can still change alot. I'm cleaning the HTML now mostly, then I'm going to add some nice style :)
For instance, I don't like the potical illusion with the dots between the blocks and I am not planning to use the current logo.

Nope, I'm just overwriting the standard files now, so it's not a skin left. I did what Oxan said in the second post, but even after restarting the MPExtended service, I didn't get my 'skin' in the settings :(

Hmm, how is that service named? I couldn't find it. I'm editing on another PC so I can not restart the service right now.

But well, you can try it: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/21558454/WebMP/BetterWebMP.zip

Oh and, I'm currently not working on browser compatibility. It should work in the latest Firefox.
