Black Glass Skin 1.9.0 (1 Viewer)

The skin is developed on Vista with Mediaportal 1.0.2 and tested on XP, Vista and Seven.
I'm testing it on Mediaportal 1.1 beta and it works well.
The resolution is 1280x720 and scales well to full HD.

Black Glass skin is designed to be easy to use and has a simple and clear look.
It should be controlled primarily with a remote or a keyboard.

BasicHome screen should be used as default home page.

The skin has been developed using Theatre as layout inspiration and Blue3Wide as codebase, so unsupported plugins should work with Bluewide plugin skin files (apart from some graphical anomalies).

Yes! I've forgotten it!

To enable fanart in this release:

1) Download Xfactor fanart handler dll
2) Move Xfactor fanart handler in your plugin process folder.
3) Configure Xfactor fanart handler by enabling only "Music Fanart Directory", "Enable fanart for MyMusic plugin", "Enable fanart for MyVideo plugin".
4) Create these folders in MP User Config files folder: "thumbs\Skin Fanart\movies", "thumbs\Skin Fanart\music".
5) Fill these two folder with your favorite fanart. The files should be named after the music artist (i.e. "Alicia Keys 1.jpg", "Alicia Keys 2.jpg") or movie name (e.g. "Terminator 1.jpg", "Terminator Salvation 2.jpg").

Bear in mind that the support for this plugin is still in very early stages!

This is a wanted behaviour, common in many screens.
When something is playing (music/video overlay), the underlaying text or gfx is hidden.
If you stop playing the hidden items reappear.

I think that in this way the overlay does not overlap with anything else and it is more readable.

very much for this new release, and thank you for the Skype plugin.

This plugin displays well in the black glass screen, but I cannot make any call: when I click on a contact, I see that it was selected but the call is not done.

Of course, I don't know if this is skin related, or plugin related.

I installed everything needed for the plugin, the configuration is correct and MP log doesn't show any error for this plugin, so that lets me think that it is skin related, the "click function" on a contact seems not to be active.
I woulkd like to know if somebody else is using Skype4MP with black glass.

I am waiting for your answer before posting in the Skype4MP forum.



PS: I am testing every screen of your (and now our!) fantastic skin, and I detected different bugs. I am writing down everything and will post after beeing absolutely sure of the problems, because it is a pity that such a screen is not perfect!!
