I mainly suffer the problem where media portal appears to play an old .ts file. Currently using a Floppy-DTV S2 with latest versions of tv server and media portal.

Ive put the logs in zip file

At first one question to all user: are you using TsReader when reporting these? By default it's off and here's more information about the filter : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/help_us_testing_new_filter-t24998.html?t=24998

I am using TsReader when in single seat mode.
I have had no luck with it when using a remote client. The client always hangs.

Having said that, I have just tried TvServer preview with the latest build (16485) and still have no video for most channels. This was tested with TsReader enabled and disabled.

As the latest doesn't work, I have rolled back to version (16429) and can now preview all channels.
Perhaps the differences between 16429 and 16460 will shed some light on the problem.

    I'm sorry... It's true i use the "old" TSFileReader.
Now i use TSReader and from tvplugin it works :) (not from setuptv, i think it use TSFileReader)
I'll read the thread you've linked carefully, i promise. ;)

I've some problems if MP start with one of the old "black" channel, i've to change channel then return to the previous channel.

    Thank you.

    DMAN,

Prior to installing 16485 and then 16429, I removed the TvLibrary database so that it was recreated at install.
After install I scanned and then tested using the preview.

I had to do exactly the same. I tried the new SVN's but reverted to that exact SVN 16429 because of that issue. I use ts reader now as well with the txt file in the c:\

Are you using MDAPI out of interest?

When u get that dreaded blackchannel.

Can u recover it by manually hitting the right "arrow key" (it does a manual seek).

Are multiseaters also affected by this, or only singleseaters ?

I had the problem bigtime on multiseat, but no more (atleast I havent seen it for a while).
I was always able to recover the channel by doing that manual seek trick.

u can try and "emulate" multiseat by creating a dummy file in root of C drive

    "usertsp.txt"

Then the client should act as a multiseat setup (rtsp) even though server is local.

Does this multiseat trick do anything different ?

I know we spoke about this on the "unofficial forum" but I use a remote for mp so i'll have to try and connect a keyboard and see if the right key works. I'll try usertsp.txt as well
