I changed the script and ini-File to use any player you like. You must change the ini-file in section PlayerDVD. Insert the path of winDVD in parameter "path" (include start-parameter for fullscreen, don't know the right one) and apply the process-name (start WinDVD and have a look into task-manager/processe, it should be something like windvd.exe) to the parameter "exename". I haven't tested the script yet. So if something's going wrong post here. Installation is described in the post above (#574)

First off, thanks to everyone who put some work into making this happen so i can use MediaPortal to play my BDs! I am having 2 small issues that i'm hoping someone has run into and can help me fix real quick.

I'm using PowerDVD8 and Eagle's scripts were able to make MediaPortal open and run that.

The first problem i'm running into is that about every 20 mins or so my mouse cursor pops up for about 20-30 seconds. This is probably an issue with something in PowerDVD, but I'm not sure what to do to resolve it.

The second problem is that i don't have any button on my MCE remote to close PowerDVD so once i'm done watching the movie the only way to get back to MP is to go use the keyboard connected to my media box. Any idea what i can do to map a key on my MCE remote to close PowerDVD?

Thanks in advance for anyone's time in trying to help me sort those little things out!

your first problem can be solved by putting the mouse-cursor into one of the screen-corners manually.

I found a little program that makes that automatically. At the moment I'm at work. But I try to integrate the little program into HD_Starter tonight.

I'm sorry but I can't give any help for your second problem. Maybe a hint: look into HD_Starter.ini and search for "useHotKeys=". This means no hotkey is used. As MCE-user you must set it to "useHotKey=y". I havn't tried it yet (no MCE-Controller ) but it should work. If the parameter is set the script uses MoPhat's hotkeys to controll PDVD via MCE-Controller.

Here is the new HD_Starter.exe with mouse-hiding if wanted. Put the provided program MausRaus.exe in any folder. Specify the folder of MausRaus.exe in the HideMouse-Section of HD_Starter.ini-file. parameter name is "path". Leave it empty if you don't need it.

In making this revision I adjusted an ini-read-bug for "useHotKey=". Hopefully now it is correct. Maybe this solves your second issue FakeFrowns

What does the script do?
1. it reads the ini-file and fills its variables with the ini-values
2. it searchs WatchDog.exe to kill the process (it pops up, when MediaPortal-process is killed)
3. it searchs MediaPortal.exe to kill the process (had probs to take the focus away from MP)
4. it switches to 24 Hz-Mode if ATI and switch is wanted
5. in case of ‘useHotKeys=’ it switches off hotkeys (in case of using irremote.ini or any other ir-controller that uses its own ini-file)
6. it switches to standard-Mode if nVidia-graphiccard is preset in ini-file and switch is wanted
7. it puts mouse-cursor to the right-bottom corner if move is wanted
8. it starts PowerDVD or any other Player and waits until PowerDVD or any other player is terminated
9. it switches back to clone-Mode if nVidia-graphiccard is preset in ini-file and switch is wanted
10. it restarts MediaPortal

did you run ddlfix.exe? It's not a script-issue. It looks like a problem with multishortcut.dll. I haven't tried it yet with 1.1.0 alpha

DllFix.exe hangs in Windows7 with "DLLFix.exe stop working"...

How can I fix this manually? What does this program?
When I execute this out of the MP I got the desktop and nothing happens...
