I'm using the HD_Starter with the config ini's and i have have the problem, that my remote isn't working. I think that is because HD_Starter is changing the keybort layout (i.e.: M=Q). Anyone have an idea to disable the change of the layout?

HD Starter for PowerDVD9 Cinema Mode MP 1.1.0+

I moved my post to a new thread, as this one is a bit old these days, also i have updated this to work with 1.1.0+ and not for any version MP previous.

Now I got my FireDTV remote running with PowerDVD, using IR Server Suite. The IR Server receives the key signals from my FireDTV remote and with the program Translator I'm able to change the key information to shortcuts for PowerDVD. It is possible to create key code tables for different programs with Translator. So have have created a tabel for PowerDVD and one for Mediaportal. I also have create a key tabel for general Windows functions. So I can start Mediaportal and PowerDVD using my remote. The IR Server Suite software detects which program is running and uses the right key code tabelo. To run PowerDVD from Mediaportal, the HD_Starter from Eagel must be used, because this HD_Starter will close Mediaportal when PowerDVD starts.

Im wondering whether to try this pluggin or not.
I've been using MP for only a few days now and I use a Hauppage 43 button remote control, but i use eventghost via a message plugin in MP to control MP, Powerdvd 8 ultra and other stuuf. I also have it programmed to switch displays from monitor to LCD TV.

I would like to have the "play Bluray option" in the menu of streamedMP skin and for it to open powerdvd, minimizing or closing MP until I close powerdvd.

Currently im playing back bluray ISO's by having PowerDVD set-up in MP as an external player.

I do not think i need to worry about the remote control side because of using event ghost but how do i set up hd starter in my situation???
This thread seems to have become quite confusing for a novice to understand.

Im running XP sp3 with nvidia GFX card. MP V1.0.2 including streamed MP and powerDVD 8.

Hey guys,

i have a problem using HD_Starter to get my remote work correctly. I'm using a Harmony 555 to control my IMON Pad (RM 200) - built in a Antec Fusion Remote. When PowerDVD9 is starting my Harmony doesn't work anymore. Keyboard shortcuts are working alright. I also configured the Imon Software to work with PowerDVD, which works fine as long as i execute PowerDVD.exe via a doubleclick. If PowerDVD is executed through HD_Starter.exe, remote mappings do not work!

I used the HD_Starter config from post #585, my harmony works like charm in MP itself.

Has anybody a clue or having a similar setup?

I also tried out ;useHotKeys=Y and ;useHotKeys=," exclusive mode on/off in imon manager" without success

I have a problem with PowerDVD8!

It works to start it out of Mediaportal and to switch to 24p! But Sound ist only comming out of my TV!

I tried all settings but I don't get my Sound out of SPDIF! Can somebody help me?

I integrated PowerDVD9 today using this wunderful plugin into my MediaPortal. Works awesome now (just needed to adjust some paths in the script and add a keymapping for getting back to MP through my MCE remote control). I was so pissed from this red PowerDVD background image that after not finding a quick solution with google i instantly grabbed my favorite resource editor and replaced that red background with a blue one matching the wideblue skin.

You can do the same, just a few clicks are needed. Download resource hacker and change the three backgrounds in the "IMAGE" section of the "BlackSatin.dll". The first one is named "INITIAL\PDVD_1280x1024.PNG", the other two just have different resolutions (1024X800 and 1024X720).

the script is designed to work with the provided irremote.ini of hauppauge or the hotkeys of mce-ir as moPhat has implemented. It is possible to toggle between these two ir-keys by using the "useHotKeys"-parameter in HDStarter.ini. "useHotKeys=" makes the script working with irremote.ini, "useHotKeys=Y" makes the script using mce-controll-keys.

No other IR has been supported, yet. Maybe it is possible to map keys via HDStarter.ini in future. I'll have a look at it when I'm ready with programming a GUI for HDStarter.ini

Do you have any idea why at the moment, with PowerDVD set as an external player in MP, when powerdvd 8 opens and goes fullscreen, the Pdvd navigation bar at the bottom of the screen does not quite fully disappear??. I can still see a thin sliver of it.
However, this does not occur on my VGA 4:3 PC monitor, only when i switch over to my 16:9 HD LCD TV (via DVI to HDMI).

If I use powerdvd on its own this does not occur. (If i do not move the mouse, navigation bar disappears completely)

Both MP and P/dvd are set to open in fullscreen but i've also experimented with the always on top options in both MP and P/DVD which makes no difference.??

no idea about that.I don't use PDVD as an external Player in MP. Maybe one of the devs could answer the question.
