Try to place and edit this XML file in the C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal folder.
I thinks this will help :p

Sorry for the late reply. That fixed the problem. I did notice when I moved the file there was already one in there called multishortcut.xml.bak which I didn't create manually? But with your new file and once I had copied the settings in the plugin config into this file, it worked first time.

You Sir are an absolute god, it now works flawlessly. This is one sweet plugin! it integrates and makes PDVD feel almost as if its part of MP and now my HTPC is truely complete. I think if this is not a feature that is in demand right now (playing HD discs) it certainly will be as time goes on and more motherboards are produced with HDMI etc and this plugin should have pride of place somewhere or at least is news worthy on the main page as a way of making this possible from MP so that more people can be made aware of this and enjoy it.

    Thanks so much!

By the way.. Was this file supposed to have been created when the plugin is run? If it could do that and be auto updated when someone completes or updates settings in the plugin configuration then this needs to be wrapped into an MPI and uploaded!!! Also if this was an installer then you could force the destination folder for the HD_Starter.exe and hardcode it in and remove it from the plugin configuration and make it even simpler to install and setup. This could be true for the button images too, hardcoding them to be "hover_my hdplayer.png and button_my hdplayer.png" (I assume it would always default to the standard placemat plugin images in the skin) and then allowing people to create their own images for different skins and share them in one place whilst still following the the default naming convention and removing even more config settings to make it totally fool proof for even the newest of users!

Great work. Well deserved credit. I know this isnt maybe as large a plugin as others, but it so greatly integrates PDVD and the fact that mplayer is probably never going to play back blu-ray / hddvd natively, its pure genius. I can't talk up this plugin enough!!

Now I just need to find some information on creating PDVD skins as I'm using monochrome and it would be nice to have a black background PDVD startup screen to make it feel even more like its a part of MP!

Yup, Im using that one now looks cool, but its blue against what I always see as "black" when using monochrome, I've just had a google and found out how to change the skins so once I have photoshop installed I'm going to have a go at making something that looks more like you havent left mediaportal (at least when using monochrome). Its also possible I have found to edit the skins so that moving the mouse when in full screen mode does not bring up the tool bar panel. I have my HTPC setup with remote control and I don't use a mouse so the toolbar is pretty defunct for me. I may do that also :)

But yes, the functionality of the plugin is great - this is just some personal customisation.

 my bad!! Your right the background is blue .......the controls are black. I did not notice as I was using blue two wide.....so it did just blend in with mp.:)

Do you have a link for the site that you got the info to edit the pdvd skins? I would be interested in that!

First: Thanks for this terrific plugin!

Second: I use a nVidia card and I have two batch files which switch the frequency to 24 or 50 Hz. When making a shortcut to these files you can assign a shortcut key. But when using CTRL + SHIFT + 4 it doesn't work, when you assign the following key: CTRL + ALT + 4 it does work. Is there a way to change the shortcut keys you use in your plugin?

    Thanks in advance!

    Greetz,

Could you tell us what do you have inside those batch files? I haven't yet found solution how to switch frequency via batch.

In AnyDVD there is a little tool called: SetDisplayFrequency.exe. This tool can set the displayfrequency.

So inside my very complex ;) 24Hz.bat there is:

    SetDisplayFrequency.exe 24 /keep

    my 50Hz.bat is a little more complicated: ;) :D

    SetDisplayFrequency.exe 50 /keep
