Sometimes it is possible to call the binary with args. e.g player.exe --no-intro
Try to call the binary via cmd with --help oder /?. Not sure if it has built in arguments.

We,, you might guess that I had already tried few such arguments (with no luck). So if someone figures out how to disable that logo I'll add it to the plugin.

To Get rid of the animated opening splash screen in Total Media Theater do this:

    -Navigate to: \Program Files\ArcSoft\TotalMedia Extreme\Digital Theatre\Plugins\VideoModule\PlayDVD

---To start with a blank black screen rename PlayDVDSplash_noSRS.log to something else

---To Start with a static arcsoft screen rename PlayDVDSplash_noSRS.log to something else, then rename PlayDVDSplashStatic_noSRS.log to PlayDVDSplash_noSRS.

    ==============================================
To get rid of it in the 10ft interface version of Total Media Theater, do the same thing as above except in the following directory:

    \Program Files\ArcSoft\TotalMedia Extreme\Digital Theatre

I have a problem with hardware acceleration if Mediaportal is open behind or minimized, TMT will not use dxva. I am wondering if it's my graphics card or if this is a directx limitation. Powerdvd is the same as well.

Can anyone with a addon graphics card verify this for me? I use an onboard 780 video chipset, thinking about buying an addon card if it will help with both programs using dxva.

The plugin works great for me, thanks.

Nothing happens for me. Using the last svn in RC3. I click to launch and I briefly get a black screen and then it just goes back to the normal MP home screen. Here's what it says in the mediaportal.log:

Tried to disable the splash screen.
It works for the standanlone version. TMT starts up with a black screen. Using the Plugin TMT starts with the turning film reel.
I'll leave it as it was. In my opinion the start up thingy is not that bad.

My 780 board with HD3200 chipset is doing well atm. But with new features for BlueRay or better video quality, I think the end is reached.
I saw a nice test about building an HTPC with a 780 board. There they said that they didn't want to use an extra GPU but finally they bought one and had a big success.
Perhaps you can translate it with google: Lautloser HTPC im Eigenbau: Blu-ray, HD DVD und HDTV vereint : Widerstand ist zwecklos

Important info is that they suggest buying a Sapphire Radeon HD 2400 XT HDMI. Its cheap (70 €), has HDMI output with sound, is passivly cooled, and powerful enough.

If I shall do some performace tests with my system let me know.

Make sure that Visual Studio or any other debugger is not running. If thats not the case try launching notepad.exe instead of the Arcsoft's MCE plugin to make sure that the issues is not caused by the plugin.

Also make sure that you are able to launch manually the Arcsoft's MCE plugin.

It's ok, it wasn't working due to the player needing a reboot after being updated.

    greets,

Thanks for the reply, I found an English version of the article - very interesting. I think you are correct, for an HD dvd/Blue-ray htpc any current integrated graphic solution may not be enough. If I wasn't doing Blue-ray, my setup would be fine. HD dvd works okay. According to the tests, integrated solutions do not support HD at it's best. For the money I've spent on this htpc, 70 Euro is not that much more.
