What about some "navigate buttons" on the left and right in Grid view

For remote users the Forward/backward and fast Forward/backward keys could be used to scroll up/down one row/page.
I guess this behavior could be implemented directly in the control.
Akternatively channel+/- could be page up down, and fast fwd/back could be "pos1" and "end"
I think in MCE channel +/- is page up down.

Fully agree with that. Navigation with remote is a mess and for me a showstopper for working with MP2 in daily use!

I still use WMC 8.1 for daily use and it's benchmark in usability. During development of BlueVision I work only with a PC with mouse and keyboard.
Last days I tried my HTPC with remote control and can understand many points. But as a designer with minor xaml knowledge (I try to do things myself, but often at the limit) I'm not able to change this It's a task for a DEV and would bring skin independent essential benefits. I know the bottleneck of MP2 is the too small number of DEV's, so I do not want to push the few existing ones too much, since they already do a hard job.

Hi.
I really wish I would be able to understand C# (or other "modern" programming languages) so I could help a lot more. But I can not get the basics of those languages into my head, also I tried it more than once. I'm not even able to build MP2 from source myself. All I can do is testing, provide ideas and develop external tools that don't need to be written in .NET...

Besides the navigation issues in homescreen (which I could also experience myself yesterday), there are some more things to do:

• Recordings: right image overlaps "List" view (can provide screenshots later)

• Improve OSD of PiP player control
• Find a solution for player control overlapping of footer are info (animated slide out? problem: define a condition when to show and when to hide)
  
• Making dynamic actions better available (other than "others" tab), maybe again a kind of "hidden" menu?
  
• Styles of "currently playing" screens for all media

For the other points it's partly not clear what I can do. If you specify my potential part a little bit more I can start to work on it

I also overworked the Home Screen.

• Fontsize is now equal with other one from content information -> More consistense and better readability
• Covers are slightly larger and top and bottom margins symmetric now
• Configuration of weather infos improved

Besides scroll problem the mediaitems in the home screen are not playable. I didn't realize before.
A click/press should make them play.
