Hey Dadeo,

16:9 and 16:10 fanart wil work the best (widescreen) . 4:3 will have a lot missing from the bottom of the image.
You can see which is which real easy by looking at the pixel sizes to name some example:
1920x1080 = 16:9 ratio (full hd)
1680x1050 = 16:10 ratio
1366x768 = 16:9 ratio (HD ready)
1024x758 = 4:3 ratio

But I believe MPTvseries should download fanart automatically (if you enable it in config) from tvdb right?

Can you also access the F9 menu and download the fanart you want for that series.

Hey Joz. I tried 0.0.5.1, love the MyFilms rating stars fix and all the other fixes. A couple of things still don't work perfectly for me:

1. TVSeries - Still don't get the dvd cover backdrop for Seasons. It's the same as before. Something in my config?
2. My Films - still get the apparently useless button behind detail screen cover but doesn't matter!
3. My Films - getting RUNTIME: #duree in details ticker
4. My Films - What is DVD cover backdrop? Is that the box around the DVD Cover? If so, my Cover images don't fit and are not all the same size (which I can fix! What size should they be? Is there any way to force a certain size for the display?
5. TV Search - Still get TV Overlay when selecting Search from main TV menu

For some reason this version is much larger on my TV screen (it's fine on my computer screen) and I can't see the full screen on any of the screens. I didn't change my screen resolutions. Any idea why?

BTW I am assuming you know there is nothing in the plugin folder in the Blue3++rar files for download.

I tried some fanart and it is great. I'm hooked! I downloaded some fanart from TVDB using F9 or Info button, then selecting Fanart). But I find the resolution is often not as good as the images from the MP site. Also, they are not formatted as nicely to work with your skin. How do you tell the pixel sizes before downloading them? Also, I assume you can only view one fanart image for each TV Series. How do I select which image I want to display or can I only have one in the /thumb/Fan Art subdirectory for each TV Series?

I downloaded some of your fanart from the link you sent me, but I didn't find any TV Series images, only Plugins, Games, Music, etc. Is that right?

So when are you moving from Beta to live???

Will check this out, might be again something with aspectratio that's f@#$king up. Dunno, it's visible here on my screen.

You're right, my bad. I guess I put it back in when I broke down MyFilms with my skinning. Will be gone for next release.

Don't have this myself. What seems to do something (for whatever reason) is clearing out all config in myfilms (pressing delete) and adding them again. No gaurentees this workt for me ones. I got the #duree (for example 130 mn or something) visible with every movie. When it's empty in the detail ticker is it also empty on the main screen?

Same deal here, most of them fit for me. The size is not really important, the ratio is. It should have a ratio like a dvd cover has so high but not too wide (will lookup some examples for you that works). What I could do (although it would look ugly for some images) is not keep the aspect ratio of the dvd cover and just always have it set to certain hight + width. then it will always fit but sometimes look a little squished or stretched (when the image has a different ratio).

No TV card so should test this wwith other video. Thought I fixed this by not allowing any overlays in tvsearch. will take a look.

Nope no idea for now. Don't have this myself but it most surely has to do something with the latest changes (or something that changed on your pc). Try clearing your cache first and please provide me with a screenshot.

What do you mean by this? Anything bigger (and in widescreen ratio) than what you running on tv screen is good enough. so 1366x768 images are good enough for running under a 1024x768 resolution. The fanart still will need to scale down. As long as there's no image stretching it will look ok.
Also, they are not formatted as nicely to work with your skin.
Right. There are a lot of fanart based skins out there so you can't expect every image to work really great with every skin outthere.

You can't in MP. Inside windows there are tons of ways to find that out.

You can set TVSeries to display a random image belonging to that series.

Yep that's right. There are already so much fanart sources so back then (when I created that fanart pack) I didn't find it necessary to include TV fanart, but I could if you want. 1 minute job

I've taken a look just now but totally clueless where this overlay is coming from. It's not in tvsearch.xml that's for sure. Can't really test this right either because of having no tv card. On my desktop I could test it but this skin is not working too well on widescreens. Sorry but this is no priority for me.
Really clueless of what's causing this and might take me hours to figure out, not worth it (for me) atm. Sorry, but I will try to keep an eye out for a fix

joz, yes you are right, all working as you describe... but try to move to another film in the list, all details changed except RUNTIME one, it still has value from which you opened for detail view.
Also if you enter in film list mode directly from home screen, RUNTIME is empty (#duree) too.

Hey Mike,

I see now. I believe this means MyFilms is not resetting the duree variable when the selecteditem changes. Nothing I can do about that except removing it again from the ticker.

yep I did and since nobody replied to the "? = by request" in my starting post I removed it from the roadmap (originally planned as 0.0.4 release) cause I have no use for it myself.
If you or any one else could make a list of stuff that's not multilanguage yet I will have a go at it for 0.1.1 release.

But remember then it still won't be multilanguage out of the box. You'd have to add stuff to the language file. Since I don't speek a couple dozen languages I can't really do that myself

Might seem a little egocentric but looks and basic functionality will have priority. Stuff like how to's (for menu's etc.), multilanguage and all others you might think of where I have no use for, will not have priority although I will try my best to fix all issues people are experiencing
