Re: Bluray Handler 0.9.5 (BETA)

Download latest ffdshow above 3534, and latest standalone_filters 2268 or newer.

From standalone_filters Copy matroskasplitter.ax, mpegsplitter.ax and mpcvideodec.ax to somewhere and register them.

Uninstall haali, because that has some problems with stuttering.

Uninstall saf because it is usually a bad choice about codec packs, give you a lot of problems, unstability and such.

you will find everything you need here

You don't know what you are talking about. Running latest SAF 5 whihc uses the most recent version of ffdshow and everything is fine!

copied and registered from standalone_filter 2268

    matroskasplitter.ax
    mpegsplitter.ax
    mpcvideodec.ax

bit better now - but still got stuttering @ clash of the titans BluRay :(

    more stuttering with PowerDVD10
less stutering with MPC Video Codec

now my wife will look TV so i can't test if the machine still plays it well in MP-Classis without MePo

    EDIT:

no stuttering in MPC - so it must be hmmm maybe a little thing in the connection to MePo?

    Well...
1: SAF does not use the most recent version of ffdshow, because that was compiled yesterday.
2: Codec pack's are in general a bad thing to use, because they often make a mess.
3: Every time i tries SAF, Mediaportal crash, or do some really strange things.
4: Even K-lite codec pack works fine, and everything is fine... But... its a mess...

Saying that i do not know what I'm talking about isn't very polite, its even rude when you do not try to explain why I'm wrong. If you would say that you are not agree with me, i would respect you.. Now... ปลาปลางูงูฝรั่งขี้นก...

Before this turns into a flame war can you move the codec discussions out of this thread (which is about the bluray handler plugin).
    Thank you :)

I tested the new version, and it works well (as before). Dynamic frame rates worked for me as well.

hey hey guys, i never used full bluray stuff before - since it was such a "hassle" to get it play normal in mp.

But now, with this plugin its so easy, wonderfull ! it works like a charm. Only thing for me is (and thats NOT a problem at all)
that i have to select the file twice before it starts to play.

    thanks !

i just tried several BR @ the weekend ...

most of them run and work like a charm -

only "Clash of the titans" was stuttering (but after all - also in MPC (stuttering starts after a while))
so i think that this is reading problem of my BR-Drive ...

    couse :
    no dropped frames
    no jitter - nothing ...

but FrameRate is going down from 23.9 to 9 or 11 (something like that)
so i think it is also NO codec problem ...

    AGAIN BIG THX 2 AMANDP
    for that cool plugin ..

    :D

    Re: Bluray Handler 0.9.5 (BETA)

Tried to get it running, but havn't succeeded yet. I followed the instruction of post #1. Installed, copied and registered matroskasplitter.ax, mpegsplitter.ax and mpcvideodec.ax from standalone_filter 2268, added ".bdmv" in video-extensions and added my usb-drive as video-folder. I can select the iso-file of a BluRay from my usb-drive. It is mounted into my virtual drive, but after that nothing happens.

As I remember right, bluray-handler 0.91 worked well with iso-files. Did I forget something to install or configure? You're help would be appreciated :)
