Is it possible to get the audio format info to display within MP? When I look at the audio streams all I see is English or what have you, no description regarding it's format, IE: AC3 or TrueHD.

With FFDSHow and playing an MKV I can see this, but not with LAV Audio. Kind of annoying for me because I cant bitstream yet.

Hi,

Maybe you should get latest version of LAV. I can see information, look @ the screenshot.
Seb.

Is that a Bluray or MKV?

I have .25 of LAV installed so I don't understand why it isn't working. Testing it now after re-installing. I am using 1.1.3 of MediaPortal with the V4 version of the handler btw.

EDIT: Definitely doesn't work for me with LAV Audio. Back to FFDShow it is...

might be worth adding "play blu-ray" to my home screen (using the basic home in StreamedMP skin)

You'd want just "Play Disc" since it uses the same function for playing DVDs, so they're both treated the same I believe.

Just a general question: Who is currently maintaining this plugin?

    I'll try this.

I'd still like to keep ffdaudio decoder for normal avi/mkv playback usage.
I guess this wont happen as long as I have configged MP audio codec section to "LAV audio decoder" (video codec section).

How do I go about this as video media files and blurays seem to share the same codec settings ?

    /gibman

seems I can only make this work when the audio decoder has been configured as "lav audio decoder".

this means i get no spdif audio.. all stuff ends up as 2.0 stereo.

    anything i can do ?

when using ffdaudio decoder the bluray title simply wont start.

If you download version LAV 0.25 from here Doom9's Forum - View Single Post - LAV Filters - DirectShow Media Splitter and Decoders bitstreaming is now included.

Well, you can disable not needed audio formats in LAVF audio decoder, so playback will fall back from LAVF to next audio decoder.
