Sorry guys but I'd really hit the wall here. I had it all up and running with all the functions just the way I wanted them but playing BD was using way to much cpu. So I had to take a trip to codec-hell and back, figuring out what DXVA is all about. Never done so before it was actually quite funny.

So now for H.264 I'm using:
    MediaPortal 1.2 Beta
    BDHandler 0.9.7.29
    LAVF Splitter 0.29
    Arcsoft TotalMedia Video Codec
    AC3Filter (with passthru)

Everything works like a charm when browsing to BDMV\index.bdmv in video-plugin but I cannot start using "Play Disc" i menu. "Play Disc" worked before and this would be the natural way for my wife and kids to easy start up a movie when I'm not there. Anybody got a clue what I'm missing? Thanks in advance..

Also big thanks for an excellent work with a brilliant plugin.

I believe the part disc big is a well known bug in 1.2 beta. Just hold off till the RC and it will work I think :) our you can svn and compile of course.

    Hi Seb,

Just updated to SVN 27980. Good work getting the MKV forced subs with LAV update in mate!

I could be wrong but I think something in the update may have broken the fix you did for forced subs in BDHandler with LAV. I reverted back to 27971 and it's working again.

Any chance you could take a look when you get some time? :D

BTW, OT but 27980 seems to have some major OSD issues. It could be skin related (I'm using fidelity). I'll test again with the default skin but if the problems persist can you tell me where I should post the bug report? I've never repoorted an SVN bug before and I'm not even sure the feedback is welcome

    All the best,

    Mick.

    Hi D3ltoroxp,

BD menus are not currently possible. There needs to be a lot of work done on the LAV splitter (or MPC splitter) before Seb et al can even begin to look at implementing it MP.

ATM the only "menu" that's available with BDHandler is a POP up allowing you to select the feature.

I'm more than happy to forego the menus, trailers, etc and get straight into the movie but I appreciate that this isn't for everyone.

If you want "full" BD playback support from MP you'll need to look at ways of launching external players such a TMT or PowerDVD.

If you want some help with the options please let me know (there's more than one approach to this).

    All the best,

    Mick

Ok thanks for your answer. Than i use it with the present features. I will not install an extra player to have bd menu. Then i can use my PS3 for now :)

    Hi Mick,

This is a new BDHandler (i have made a hack because i didn't find for now another way) but it's works without problem :)
Effectively, 27980 has change setting about detection of subtitle stream and like BDH is based on this, it break Forced selection track and also subtitle name.

Did you solve your OSD issues ?
If not, it's possible to get screenshot ?
On my side i didn't notice issue.
    Thanks :)
    Seb.

    Hi Seb,

Fantastic mate. I'll get it tested tonight but if you say it's working I'm sure it will.

Thanks so much for looking into this so quickly :D

    What changed between patch 1 and 2 (or wouldn't I understand :))?

Re OSD, I haven't had a chance to retest yet. Been working on some fidelity mods in the little time I've had between helping launch new products at work and looking after my 2year old girl (the wife's a nurse and works funny hours). No excuse really :D. I'll get on that tonight as well.

    All the best,

    Mick.
