Re: AW: BluRay with MP and PowerDVD

    @derHelge

I'll upload a mulitshortcut-installer. That will fix your and VIXUN's problem. In the moment I've no access to my dev-pc. So it will last till tonight or tomorrow.

    @alexchini

have you ever installed a twitter-plugin based on a multishortcut-plugin? HD_Starter is one of them, maybe a twitter-plugin, too. The picture which you attached shows the new config-dialog of multishortcut-plugins. Wait for the upload of the new multishortcut-installer.

P.S. found it on my away-machine. So start the installer. It will install a new multishortcut-creator in the MP-folder. After that, I suppose, it will work

    Hi Eagle

I ve never installed a twitter-plugin but probably as i'm using a svn version it can had something wrong inside, anyway i ve done a new fresh installation of MP and now

    it work well THX

Hey Eagle. BIG THX for this plugin. Just installed it and it seems to work! I think until Bluray-playback is fully integrated in MP itself, this is one hell of a solution.
One question still remaining for me is: How do I exit Power-DVD and get back to MP? I am using a Harmony One configured as MCE-remote. Do you have an idea?

    Thx again for your help!

Hi really appreciate this but am after a bit of help.

I followed step 1. Copied the files HD Starter.dll and HD_Starter.exe to the MediaPortal plugins\Windows directory

I do not at all understand step 2 how exactly do I "2. Install Multishortcut-Installer?"

I followed step 3. Copied the MediaPortal Skin Image to the desired Skin\Media folder (see known issues) very simple

I have problems at step 4. Open the MP Config and choose the HD Starter plugin (its a MultiShortCurt plugin), select the desired icon (see known issues) and the HD_Starter.exe path. Here MediaPortal brings up an error message: Missing file ! C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\language\MultiShortcut\strings_en.xml where could I find this file?

just copy the string_en.xml file that is usualy in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\language directory for xp or c:\ProgramData\teammediaportal\mediaportal\language if u r using win7 inside the multishortcut directory in the same path.

Step 2 generates a file called multishortcut00.dll in \plugins\windows. Normally you must rename it to HD_Starter.dll. This isn't necessary because I have generated it already and have put it into the zip-file. The second thing the installer does is to write the string_xml.en-file into the directory \All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\language\MultiShortcut\

So you have two oppertunities to avoid the missing-file message.

First one: you start the installer as described or

Second one: you copy the files manually as alexchini suggested

    Yup
i forgot to say that i had same problem of the miss string_xml.en.

i ve installed the plugin in a win7 machine.... maybe its due to rights permission but i'm not sure... the Hd_Starter.dll was present

    Hi thanks for the plugin

I had some problems getting the plugin to automatically chance my ati graphics card to 24p when executed and back again when powerdvd was terminated.

to solve this problem I made a script witch I converted to an exe file and got multi shortcutter to execute the exe file.

To make the script and exe i used Autoitv3

How do you set it up?
Start the ATI Catalyst Controlcenter. Save the standard profle with a specific name like "60p" in my example in the profilemanager. Then setup the needed configuration for watching HD-videos in the ATI Catalyst Controlcenter and save the profile with a specific name like "24p" in my example.

The script contains the following code:

    Code:
; Wait untiul PowerDVD is active
    WinWaitActive("CyberLink PowerDVD")

    ; change the Graphiccards Profile
    $Program="C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\CLI.exe"
    $Parameter= "Start Load profilename=" & chr(34) & "24p" & Chr(34)
    ShellExecuteWait($Program,$Parameter)

; Wait untiul PowerDVD is closed
    WinWaitClose("CyberLink PowerDVD")

; Set graphic card back to normal
    $Program="C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\CLI.exe"
    $Parameter= "Start Load profilename=" & chr(34) & "60p" & Chr(34)
    ShellExecuteWait($Program,$Parameter)
    Exit

the exe file can be downloaded form: http://rapidshare.com/files/454750440/24p.exe

And the script that can be edited from: http://rapidshare.com/files/454750439/24p.au3

Hope somebody else can use it
