Strange.
Next time it crashes, can you make sure the mediaportal.log file has indeed any contents? Now it 0 bytes so it's not going to help pinpointing the problem
Just to update this - I think there's definitely something on the BBC website that crashed this BUT
If there are 'script error' warnings that pop up (had a couple from CNN) then again MP CTD...
Just tested a couple of items from the bbc feed and no problems here.
Would be very useful if you had logs or at least the url of the misbehaving website
Right - completely consistent with this it ALWAYS CTD (Crash to Desktop) MP with the BBC website - I'm assuming that it's some scripting error in their change away from Flash (just a guess though!)
Hm, still a mediaportal.log of 0 bytes.
is this with all items from that rss-feed? if not, did you get a url or title or something for the crashing site?
Or did you do something specific, other than reading and moving the page up or down?

Bit strange to have a Final Release with a specific x64 version of the Extension Manager and then have to go chasing around "somewhere else", in this case, to an old thread in the forum to be able to install an important plugin, don't you think? I don't doubt that using that source works, I'm using it successfully on another PC but...
