kiwijunglist Still bagging the hd3200 eh? It will work perfectly doing vector adaptive with that cpu combo that rlevis has.

Well, it use to do Vector Adaptive with MP 1.0 but since 1.02, I've only managed plain Adaptive with no pull-down detection.

The stuttering issues I had with interlaced channels I discussed here in the past was due to some sort of fps frequency clock issues. Since switching to Reclock as the Audio Renderer, I've had no stuttering.

If by bagging you mean I don't recommend people buy an onboard HD3200 with the intention of viewing HDTV 1080i in the latest version of mediaportal, then yes I would bag the hell out of it. (even with HT3 cpu I would still recommend something more powerful).

Just a small correction. I just switched to Motion Adaptive with Pulldown enabled, and it's working fine. Vector Adaptive definately doesn't though. I had tried that some time ago but I confused the fps mismatch stutter with a lack of dxva speed.

    EPG Collector

Anyone using EPG Collector for DVB-T and notice strange characters in the text.
    eg. TV1 28/11/2010 10:15pm Damages

Patty’s relentless pursuit of the Tobin family’s hidden fortune...

It appears like that in the XML file.

Has anyone else in NZ noticed TV3 has started skipping frames yesterday?

All the other channels are fine (including TV3+1) but yesterday TV3 started noticably skipping frames/stuttering.

Turns out that ticking the box "prefer AC3" fixes the problem but I'm curious to know if anyone knows what has changed in the last two days.

    Re: EPG Collector

    Weird characters? Yup.
Should be fixed in the next release. I quote from the release notes for the soon-to-be-released version 3.0 (I am a beta tester):

    5.2 MHEG5
    =========

The few special characters broadcast for the Maori language are now replaced by spaces. This is a change from
the previous version but reverts to the procedure used by versions earlier than that.

Although these aren't Maori characvters. They are standard single quotation characters. It should read...

Patty's relentless pursuit of the Tobin family's hidden fortune.
