Exactly what channels are you getting? Knowing this will help to figure out what is going on...
My guess is that your LNB settings aren't right. Generally speaking us Kiwis have to always use the advanced tuning options and set the LNB frequencies manually. Most of us use 10750 or 11300 in first two boxes and 0/12750 in the third box.

ps. Note that the frequency is 12483000 kHz (I guess that was a typo on your part?).

Thanks for the AC3 box solution. I thought I was going mad - working one min then dud the next. Also have the problem with a freeze on channel changing. Two recent changes - running sound via optical out and upgraded to 1.1.2. The stuttering was an issue before the upgrade though.

Anyone else noticed that some of the EPG entries from DVB-S shows "confidential" instead of the program name? I missed some recordings because of this but im not sure if its a MP as MP usually says unavailable when it doesn't get anything, in this case the time is populated but with the wrong info. Any ideas?

Only time Ive seen, and its happened a lot in the last couple of months is for Sunday Theatre on TV1 (only one Ive noticed). It must be coming from the Broadcaster as it wa sin the EPG for our In-Laws SetTopBox and was also on the TVNZ Website for their Program guide.

Just done a search on my current EPG and noting shows at the moment tho'

Yes I've seen it. It is the broadcasters being nasty!
They don't put the real program details in the MHEG 5/EIT data so that you have to look up the details on their website. I'm not sure if this is because I haven't been collecting the data frequently enough (I only do it once a week or so) or whether they never actually broadcast the proper info...

I think it's more likely they don't want the competition to know what they have scheduled. If it's an expensive purchase, they don't want the other channel to throw in something which will compete for viewers in the same time slot.

I've seen this early on in a week for a prime time slot later in the week, but it's changed to the proper title well before the on-air day.

Hi the kiwi or anyone else that can help.
    From a few pages back.....

For the EPG Collector it comes with a whole stack of INI files for different setups and the documentation is pretty good. It also now comes with a GUI so you can answer the questions and it will be alkl setup. Steve (Author of the software) is brilliant at providing quick support.

For me, I just run it nightly via a Scheduled Task (windows XP)

    "D:\Program Files\Geekzone\EPG Collector\EPGCollector.exe" /ini="Freeview MHEG.ini"

My INI file just has the Output set as

    Output:D:\Program Files\For The Record\Services\XMLTV\tvguide.xml

4TR then looks after the rest for me and voila ... 7 day EPG for free :)

My trusty XMLTVNZ program seems to no longer give me an epg. I have done the above trying to use the tvguide.xml in MP directly via the XmlTV plugin but no programs are imported. The file itself has plenty in it when checked.

Any pointers guys? Do I need to change anything in MP. Will this never work and thus must use 4TR??

    Thanks in advance :D

I've posted some pretty thorough instructions for getting XMLTV data into MP here. Hope that helps :)

Thanks tried those instructions. The only thing i might not have done is the mapping. Still not getting imports though - I have posted a log at geekzone

I am sure/hope it is something simple that is not formated correctly:mad:
