i've been looking into wall plates for vga, usb, and 3.5mm audio so i can set my htpc up in a completely different room to the tv (accoustic reasons)

so far i've found this site selling a product that'll do the trick, but it seems darned expensive for what it is.

i'm not after the rca outlets, so i was wondering if anyone here has come across something similar, but cheaper?

You can try Wired NZ Limited
they make custom A/V wall plates and other stuff

Hi,

Got a great avi file out of Handbrake from C4 - thanks.

Had problems with VirtualDub however in terms of compressing the file back and using a codec. Would you mind letting me know where you downloaded VirtualDub from and what version you are using please.

Thanks again for all your help.

Cheers

Graham

Here are the Bitrate charts that confirm TVNZ has slashed the bitrate for TV1 & 2

    http://www.satcodx5.com/1600/tsbitrate.cgi?16000050000000000035-v
TV2 was down to 1.5Mbps on wednesday night!!!!!!!!!

It looks like TV3 lowered their bitrate when they started TV3+1 around the 30th march

They seem to have it locked down to about 4 Mbps which isn't too bad.
Well that explains the sudden drop in quality of my recorded shows. 1hr TS recordings are down from around 3.4 Gb to around 2.4Gb. Pixellation is now quite obvious.
Have let TVNZ know that not happy at the lowered quality whilst Sky now get TVNZ 6 and 7 etc at HD.

Didn't realise that Sky had a locked down box available so that you can get PrimeTV without paying a monthly fee

    Answer

If you live where Prime’s UHF signal is not available, you can now install a SKY Digital dish and decoder, with the Prime Television service only, at a cost of $145 including GST. (The decoder rental will be waived for this connection).

That's what I had to do to get Prime - tuned through my PVR150. Works good except for when we have a power cut and I forget to reset the Sky box...

    MP 1.0.1

Just installed MP 1.0.1 and it went pretty smoothly (kind of..) and it's all up and running now but I've got one pretty serious problem - no sound on Prime TV :( I get Prime via a Sky STB/PVR 150 and I know a few of you get Prime or Sky TV the same way so if you've upgraded to 1.0.1 (or when you do) can you let me know if you have any problems.

I've tried almost all of the available Audio Decoders in MPConfig and I'll go and give the few I haven't tried a go but I can't see why my usual decoder (Nvidia) which still works for the DVB-S signal wouldn't be handling the sound for the PVR150 (especially since one of the changes in 1.0.1 is improved support for analogue cards..)

    Any ideas out there?....
