I'll point out that I would use TV-Server, but my first and only try with it didn't work, and the one that comes with 0.2.2.0 does. I'll hang out and wait for TV-Server to stabilize a bit :).

yes, that is why I voted for TV-Server multi :)
So the question should ask "what would you like to use?"

I use 0.2.2, because I tried TV-server and it really is BETA! It keeps forgetting my channels, and if I try to delete a scheduled recording while it is running, mediaportal crashes, and so on. But I will probably try installing it again when it is done.

As I can not benefit from the server/client architecture (single seat), I can't see why bother. I have a dedicated HTPC so running the tv server as service does not change anything for me.
I think that the 2 best news (mpeg recording and multiple channel recording) could be implemented in standard tv engine.

I'm using 2.2 + SVN and I have to say that I'm happy!
It's the only really used application on my HTPC.
TV / EPG / scheduled rec. with auto wake up / and all other plugins.
I've tried TVE3 and and I had positive and negative results. Until is beta I don't really need it because I've a single seat setup; but in future I want to expand MediaPortal in my home.

TVE3 is great but not finished, and in my opinion also TVE2 has never been finished. I would like to see subtitles, real working teletext (performance) and so on.
So now we have bugs and limitations on both!
Maybe TVE3 (start again writing software from the top) was the only solution to overtake also these secondary issues (.ts recordings etc.), so I'm looking forward to the next future of MP.

I voted MyTV that comes with 0.2.2.0, because at the moment I use my HTPC as a stand alone seat. I'd like MyTV to be able to watch and record different shows with a single tuner card as the server claims to be able to do (never tested it), I'd like also to have Picture in Picture effect...

my great thanks goes to all Media Portal crew!

Voted that I use the included TV-engine but just want to add that I am very excited about the development of a new engine and will of course use it (single seat) as soon it is out of beta!

The possibility to watch several DVB channels from one reciever seems amazing to me...:)

I voted 0.2.2.0. The only reason I want to have client-server is to be able to use media extenders. So far, there is no such functionality. As so the plug-ins that I use, here they are (1 is the highest priority):
    1. My TV
    2. DVD (does not work that well. I wish MP borrowed the code from VideoLAN player)
    3. Videos
    4. Music
    5. Weather
    6. Pictures

    ATTENTION!

i am realy surprised that the majority of the users are still thinking that the client / server architecture is the only pro of the TV-Server.

Have also only a single htpc system and use the 0.2.2.0 Tv Engine.

I can watch and record TV, have a good epg and can use timeshift.
    All there what i need.
But will give TV3 a chance if it has a simple installation and not run software in the background that use ram or cpu by not using TV.
