Thanks. It's 10.1.1.6:8080. No luck. Tried another PC at home using its ip address. No luck. telnet can't find port 8080 either. Can run port 9000 OK for Logitech Media Server. just no luck with 8080

Did you installed services and WebMediaPortal to same server? What is server IP address (or server DNS name)? Which WebMediaPortal version you installed - for IIS 7.5 Express or version with manual configuration?

    C:\Users\Neil Hunt>netstat -o -n -a | findstr 0.0:9000
TCP 0.0.0.0:9000 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING 4296[DOUBLEPOST=1342607147][/DOUBLEPOST]Yes, installed to the same PC. IP is 10.1.1.5. Express version.[DOUBLEPOST=1342607948][/DOUBLEPOST]Do I need to install anything on the remote PC?

On remote PC you don't need to install anything. Try on server to access http://localhost:8080 or http://10.1.1.5:8080 (the best will be to test both addresses). Both should be working.

Because you don't have DNS name of server, on client you can test with http://10.1.1.5:8080 (use server IP not client (remote) PC IP address - from your previous posts it seems that you're trying to use client (remote) PC IP address instead of server IP address).
