[Question] Cannot connect over the lan (1 Viewer)

Thanks. When I try on server to access http://10.1.1.5:8080 the portal signon comes up OK. When I try it on the remote PCs the connection times out. I can ping 10.1.1.5 and have normal access over the LAN.

    You have to set your firewall rules to allow connection to 8080 port. Do you have custom firewall / antivirus solution or using default in your Windows?

    Thanks. For this exercise I have turned off the firewall and defender on both remote PCs. Can I set another port other than 8080?[DOUBLEPOST=1342701069][/DOUBLEPOST]Now, for some reason it's OK. Thanks for your patience

    If you turn off firewall than it have to work because nothing blocks communication. I don't know if in IIS 7.5 Express can be set port.

    You can configure the port number in C:\ProgramData\MPExtended\WebMediaPortalHosting.xml - a graphical user interface for that will be added in 0.5.
