Hello, I just installed 1.2.0, and while I can record, I cannot play any TV, either live or recorded. No matter the codec, it will not play. Log is attached. Thanks so much in advance.

Looks like here is the source of problem:
2011-05-18 16:35:39.525390 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: TSReaderPlayer: Exception while creating DShow graph Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index

As a SAF user, can you try to open and play your ts file in Graphstudio - START - SAF - Tools - Graphstudio?

Thanks for the reply, Hoborg. I have opened and played the file in Graphstudio as you asked. It did so successfully.

    Hi odysseus

I agree with Hoburg. Can you please use MediaPortal debug mode to collect full logs.

    Thanks. :)

Thanks for the reply! I did try to collect full debug logs but, "This will launch MediaPortal using... only the plugins which are included in the release version of MediaPortal you have installed". I use 4TR, so MediaPortal opens without a TV plugin in such a setup.

I think I will try and add the recorded tv folder to the MP Videos section, since that comes with MP by default. That should still have the same error occur.

I apologize for not posting debug logs previously. I know it's frowned upon but I hadn't worked out what else to do .

Okay, I was able to replicate the error using the Videos plugin. Sorry again for not working that option out sooner.

Thanks again to both of you for your help, and good luck! Everything else is working fine on my 1.2.0 upgrade, so I hope to have this solved and be able to enjoy the new MP.

    :D

Just an update: I tried uninstalling SAF then installing the codecs separately, also tried installing MP clean then restoring with Backup Settings. Neither worked and I still get the same error.

    Hi again

    The logs are good. :)
I think the issue is something to do with your subtitle settings. I'm looking into it now...

    Right, try this:

    1. Open C:\Users\HOME\AppData\Local\Temp\MPTemp\MediaPortalTemp.xml in a text editor (notepad, wordpad, notepad++ etc.).
    2. Search for "lastsubtitleindex".
    3. Change the value from -1 to 0.
    4. Save.
    5. Try to watch videos/TV.

    :)
