Cannot Setup the database Connection (1 Viewer)

If a try MySQL i get an error saying my local IP address 192.168.x.xx is not allowed to connect to server or something similar.

Damn, missed that bit, doing too many things at once.

Check you have your connections setup as per here TV-Server/Configuration/SQL-Server - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

Are you running this as a admin account, users may not have relevant permissions.

This is the right place for the post as SQL does relate to TVServer.

Are you talking about Windows Admin account? If so Yes

Yes I did do that however its when I use the mysql option that that error occurs (yes i have installed both MS SQL and mySQL)

Has anyone else got ideas to what it is?

i have never been able to get MySQL to work as MP database. if you dont manage to get MSSQL to work, just use the built in TV engine, it works fine.
