When you double click WebEPG you will not see anything happen (it does not show any window) but WebEPG runs in the background and grabs data. If you check in TaskManager->Processes you should see WebEPG there. From the log you posted earlier (22-3-2010) I can see that it runs but when you copied the log, WebEPG had not finished. Wait for WebEPG to finish (monitor through TaskManager) then copy the log and post it here.
Normally you don't have to either monitor or wait for WebEPG to finish and you do not want it to show a window, it is supposed to be working in the background, while you are doing something else, like watching TV or listening to music. When it finishes, XMLTV plugin will automatically import the new tvguide.xml that WebEPG writes when it finishes. You do however need to make sure the system does not shutdown/sleep/hibernate while WebEPG is running. If you are using PowerScheduler plugin, you do this by specifying WebEPG in the "Prevent" process list.
