Where are all the pictures and info stored, and can i choose where i want it to be stored somewhere.
I will not have it stored on my C: disk, rather my D: disk

Thanks for this great plugin :D

    Hi

    The MediaPortal Thumbs folder is used for the pictures and the MediaPortal Database folder is used for the database.
    You can change it by changing the location in mediaportaldirs.xml, but take note it will change not only for MovingPictures but also for the rest of your installation.

    Ok :)

    Where can i find mediaportaldirs.xml and will this slow down MP in some way if the location is changed?

    I have windows and MP + codecs and MP related stuff on my C: disk, and would like this to have as musch free space as possible.

    Thx

    Usually here:
    C:\Program File\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

    Personally I have not noticed a slowdown.

    There it was. Thank you so much.

    I am not in to xml and stuff like that. But is this right when i will have DataBase and Thumb moved to my D: disk?

    Original xml: <Path>%ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Database\</Path>

    My path to database: <Path>D:\Diverse\Database og Thumb for MP\Database\</Path>

    My path to thumbs: <Path>D:\Diverse\Database og Thumb for MP\Thumb\<Path>

    If this is right, how do i save it in the xml file?
    I have opened it in Internet Explorer, or should i open it in another program?

    Re: Change location of files?

    Edit with notepad.

    One problem:
    My path to thumbs: <Path>D:\Diverse\Database og Thumb for MP\Thumb\<Path>

    must be
    My path to thumbs: <Path>D:\Diverse\Database og Thumb for MP\Thumb\</Path>

    I have made a copy of it into MyDocuments and shall modify it here.
    If i uderstand it right, i have to edit the file in My Documents and save it her, and then it will have My Paths?

    Correct.

    I got your PM, but I will answer in your other thread with the same question.
    In general, due to our open policy that everyone should be able to see and help, we do not provide support via PM.

    This is how i looks like in the xml file in My Documents now

    <!-- The Path for the databases -->
    <Dir id = "Database">
    <Path>D:\Diverse\Database og Thumb for MP\Database\</Path>
    </Dir>
    <!-- The Path for the Thumbs, like Music Cover Art, TV Logos, etc. -->
    <Dir id = "Thumbs">
    <Path>D:\Diverse\Database og Thumb for MP\Thumb\</Path>

    But thumbs and movingpictures.db3 are still saved on C:
    I have not done anything to the xml file on C:\Program File\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal
    What have i done wrong?

    I'm running 2.5 with the WMC skin. I have .mp4 files, along with the related .srt files in the same folder. I can watch the movies just fine. In past versions of MP, like 2.4x, I could press the More Info button on my remote twice, and on the second press, an option for showing/choosing the subtitles was listed. I'd select the...
