Which is more up to the skinner then to the developers of the plugin. A better place for this question would have been the specific skin forum for Xface.
However, from your discription, you might have a look at the several hover_ images. One of them will be called hover_moving pictures.png. remove and replace.

When I import new films using Moving Pictures, it takes an incredibly long time for the information to be found and downloaded...
maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
