Hi there!

The plugin looks just amazing! I get an error when trying to start the videos. I am using ac3filter as audio codec which is a filter I really like. I tried to change the audio codec to MPC.. although I was not sure where to change it so I tried the video player tab under mediaportal configuration.

The error message says first the link to the file it's trying to run then it says Audio Codec: (then it's empty which makes me think something is bad with the audio codec settings)

Thanks for the help in advance!

hey thrilled, i've been having the same issue. i've noticed that in the youtube videos section that some of the videos play just fine, and some of them give me that same error that you get, usually the link to the file has an .flv extension. you have any luck on this yet? i wish i weren't so anal and could just leave it alone...

Thanks for the great app.

Still having some codec issues though. When I follow all of your direction in your post, almost all of the videos will play - with the exception of Yahoo Videos, and any WMV streams that I add. I can live with that. However, the big issue that I have is that when I follow these directions, I cannot watch any XVID files anymore.

With Haali installed, my XVID work fine, but some streaming video don't work as you described. Is there a setting somewhere that I could be missing, or a codec or splitter that Haali provided that now needs to be replaced?

Thanks in advance.
:D

strange. i was using haali too and switched to the new files and my avis play fine. maybe you need to re-register the files from the zip.

Thanks for the reply. I found a solution to the major problem - XVIDs (Woo hoo). I downloaded the standalone AviSplitter from the MPC-HC and added it to the system32 file. The avi splitter listed in the OnlineVideos config module does not appear to have changed, but it did the job.

Now if I can get the Yahoo Videos, WMV and ASX files to work, I'll be at 100%. Any suggestions?

I'm too having a problem when trying to view youtube videos, I followed the instructions on the first page but I get the error regarding the codec. When I look in the plugin itself I can see the flv. is looking in the right folder were I registered the flv splitter. It makes me laugh because my mate installed this plugin and it worked straight away and he has the same plugins as me. Any help would be great. The only thing I cannot do is remove my ffdshow as I use this for my spdif connection coz for some reason ac3 filter doesn't work with win 7.

Hi. I also followed the instructions of the first post but now instead of the audio codec error i get just a "Cannot pay video file" error for youtube.

Interestingly, when I first set up the plugin in MP a few days ago it worked fine on you tube but for some reason it has stopped working, first with the audio codec error and now with the error above.

Any ideas?

And now that I've just rebooted my system I'm back to the audio codec error again!
