Looking good, no new problems and the issues listed seem to be fixed :)

I have found an issue that's present in both versions though (but I''m not sure if it's an MPAR or a TsReader issue though?). If I click "Enable timestretch" I get judder on 50i TV. 50i/25p/24p material sourced with LAV splitter seems to be okay.

The actual FPS seems to come up as approx 46.xx which I guess is why the judder appears.

Just to clarify - the issue seems to disappear if "Enable timestretch" is unticked

Let me know if you want me to try anything.

Thanks. Seems that we have now enough positive feedback and no reported regression so we can go ahead and include these fixes to master & 1.3.0 beta build.

My bet is on video decoder or TsReader. Could you open a new thread about this issue?

EVR log looks quite alarming - something is managing to cause a wrong fps detected.

3871: [Audio renderer] Audio renderer's logging thread is using huge amount of CPU resources
3867: [Audio renderer] Audio Renderer doesn't negotiate the alternate speaker mask properly
3876: [Audio renderer] Crash when closing Configuration.exe after the first try to set setting MPAR
3905: [Audio renderer] Not possible to select OS default audio device from audio renderer's settings

Have been merged to master and will be part of the 1.3.0 beta release. Lets see if there will be need for more fixes for 1.3.0.

    Tourettes,

I tested this version for a ~week now.
However I am still bothered with the issue where DVD audio just quits after 5-10 minutes perfect playback. I posted this result + logs in other MPAR thread a while back. Playing the same file using Default Directshow audio renderer doesnt show this issue.

Keep in mind: Im the Xonar user (still...SIGH)

Is there anything youd like me to try?

If I would receive some extra free time then I could take a look into that dvd navigator related issue. Currently it has been on low priority since it has been reported only by you (as far as i remember)

Need to mantis it when i get home

    HI all,

This might be a little offTopic here, but I guess the right people with anwsers read this thread.

For testing purpose of CCC 12.8, I switched from the spdif xonar connection to my receiver, to the ATI HDMI connection to the receiver. Now what I notice is that since, the detected FPS from the mediafile and actual Hz/FPS have changed.
If I play the movie Battleship in
    MPC-HC, it reports 23.976fps content.
MP 1.3a with HDMI connection reports it as 23.9998fps and sets the htpc to 24hz. (not using MPAR ofcourse)
MP 1.3a with SPDIF xonar connection reports it as 23.976xx and sets the htpc to 23.976hz.

Its puzzling to me. Looks like putting the receiver (which accepts hdmi in/out) in between the htpc and TV influences things. Is there logic behind what I am seeing?
On the positive note, I see very very few framedrops. :)

Almost completely off topic, but this is pretty "interesting" issue and would be good to have a separate thread about this. Does the display device show 23.976 or much closer to 24Hz as the refresh rate in such case?

There hasn't been any reports for such issue, but it might be that people havent been using pause that much. The issue is probably only related to the timestrecthing feature and the longer the playback duration (without any seeking) has been the bigger the A/V sync issue you are experiencing after resuming from the pause is.

I'm unable to repladuce the issue on my HTPC or development PC. Logs might give some clues about the issue so please do following:

    1) start a movie that you know can cause the A/V sync issue on resume
    2) let the movie play for one hour
    3) pause movie
    4) resume movie
    5) take note how much the A/V sync is off (a rough estimate is probably all that can be done)
    6) upload the MPAudioRenderer.log here

We are currently rewriting some of the drift correction etc. related code in MPAR and hopefully that helps with the issue you are seeing. There are some HW setups (@gibman has one :)) that are seeing A/V sync drifting while the actual playback and hopefully it is somewhat related to the issue you are seeing.

    Thanks for the response tourettes.

I have done a bit of testing today, and narrowed down the problem a bit more. Didn't manage to save the log file, sorry, but will remember to get it next time it occurs!

I rarely use MPAR for films, as the audio for them are all bitstreamed to my amp, apart from where there is an AAC 6ch soundtrack, but I don't have any of those at the moment.

I do use MPAR for live and recorded TV which is Freeview in the UK. The HD Freeview channels contain an HE-AAC soundtrack, sometimes in stereo and sometimes in 6 channels. I need to use WASAPI to get this audio sent to my amp in the correct format, as without WASAPI the Windows audio mixer, messes it up.

The lipsync error seems to creep in if live or recorded TV is paused for approx 5 minutes or more. Stopping and resuming playback fixes it.
