its to hard, the new SVN's contain some code that make it much easier for the focus items in the skin (allowhiddenfocus=true)
it is possible but i wont be doing it cause i dont think it worth the effot MP 1.1 beta is much better than 1.02 so for the sake of a few months untill it release its not realy worth the effort, but update to the latest MP and it should work fine

Simple Eaon BasicHome

hi wall seans i canot use kyleh0000 home (his only for MP 1.1) and i use 1.02 ,i mack a simple Eaon style basic home ...

AND TGX CAN YOU PLEASE ALSO GIVE US THIS STYLE OR SIMELR (YOUR FOR SURE WILL LOOK AND WORK BETTER THEN MY)

Really like this mod - I love everything about BlackGlass except the basichome, I much prefer this style (the "Aeon" style if you will). Couple questions:

Edit - figured the background folders out, my mistake, they do go in media/animations, same as all skins.


All this mod is really missing, aside from a bit more polish on the editor, is this: Is there an easy way to exit, etc out of Mediaportal from this basichome mod? The Aeon Mod for StreamedMP, for example, lets you press the remote arrow up and gives you the options to quit, restart, etc. Same with the Stock Black glass, but it doesn't appear to work with this mod. In fact from Basichome there doesn't appear to be anyway at all to access either an exit menu or the "topnav" menu standard with MP skins - you have to enter one of your menu items, such as MovingPictures, to get that back.

Anyway thanks for the work! Here's hoping this keeps going, I think it's a great option for this skin.

hi ixian ! are you talking abut my mod or kyleh0000 mod ?
if you talk abut my mod ,i add butens on the main Aaon bar for Exit end for Home ,,see screenshot ...
but as i thot abut the all thing ,i find that i canot mack editor so evrybody can use ,i did it by hand edit the basichome xml ,,
seans evrybody use defrent plugin ...i canot do it ,anlass sombody use excacly the same plugin i use .... so i just complit it for my self ...sorry ...
BUT I THING IF WE ALL ASK Tgx to MACK ALTERTIVE BAISC HOME Aeon Style ,if meny user will ask he will mack ... i hoop ...

hey sorry its taken a while for me to get back to this, i have been flat out at work doing stuff.

I have done a few skin file updates but nothing on the editor at this stage, its working pretty well for me at the moment I just edit the skin settings inside the .ini file then run the editor only to create the xml files, but i will update it later on i just want to get the skin files right first.

as for the top bar i dont ever use it as i never close MP on my HTPC, or if i do its only to make a config change which i need to be remoted in to do so. but if you want to enable it there is an option at the top of the XML file called <disabletopbar> just chagne that from yes to no and you will get the same top bar as the original skin.

im also going to work on adding support for the myscorecenter plugin.

ill post the updated files here when i get a chance

ahh yes thats right i removed it from the <onup> action of the menu items as when its disabled and you try to move to it the navigation breaks now i remember

dont quote me on this as i dont have the files but i think its 7 from memory just check in the topbar.xml file for the ID.

as for changing the <onup> action just open the file in my editor in XML\TEMPLATES\basichome.menuitems.template.xml and edit the on up action for the items then save the file, you will also need to do the same for the basichome.defaultmenuitems.template.xml

then run the editor again and the new menus will be created automaticly

EDIT: I was wrong the Topbar ID is 21, but this issue has now been sorted in the new version and the top bar is on by default
