I am not impressed you have deleted my posts. When an issue covers more than one area, like mine, where it could be an "external player" or "remote control" or hardware issue why can't I post in the various categories?????
As a tester, couldn't you simply answer my question?
You only need to select one appropriate category - all the members of the forum will see your query no matter where you post it. Creating more than one post on the same topic just fragments the possible answers and causes confusion.
Thanks for explaining. I found a passing reference to this here:
https://www.team-mediaportal.com/wiki/display/MediaPortal1/HID%20Profiles
which I had overlooked in the past. I would find it logical for a created custom profile to be automatically activated, but until that happens, I will try to create a wiki page for the current...

That could have been useful alternative to the CEC Remote, shame they stopped making the Harmony. I have not given up completely on the CEC Remote, there is an option to trigger putting the TV and AVR into standby when MP closes which I want to try, currently I do not have that enabled as it means both video and audio devices will be...

Hi there,
since I changed TV and HTPC's CPU, I'm wondering if this guide:
Guide
could be considered still good today, since it's been almost 13 years since then and it's still referring to a resolution of 1080p?
I say this because I have a new Panasonic 4K HDR TV, and with that settings, even if I have an old Gygabyte GPU (bought...

i love how subtitles are implemented in the MP2 videoplayer, this is just perfect. 1080p playback is also very good. But video playback in MP2 is buggy when playing 4k material. Therefore: PLEASE add an option for an external video player! I'd LOVE to have VLC back as videoplayer, like in MP1! This works perfectly. You will make a...
