See the logs attached. This happens each time I enter MyTV in MPortal or if I manually (in TV-Setup) try to start timeshifting and/or recording. After a few seconds, Windows tells me that TVServer.exe crashed with a fault in the TsWriter.ax module.

This looks like what I'm getting, I'll direct Diehard2 to this thread ... he is looking into this for me ... having someone else with the problem should help him find the problem.

    Thanks,

    Hi,
same problem here on 1 of my PCs. Sorry no logs available because I had to revert 18080
to enabel my wife to see TV.
My operating system is MCE2K5 with all patches applied.
But I have also ATHLON XP with NFORCE2 chipset.

My other 2 PCs with Athlon64 and Intel Core2Duo have no problem but use WINXP SP2.

    Regards

    Hi!

Maybe some dev has a better debug version of TSWriter.ax so we can hunt down that bug?

    TIA,

either your chipset or your processor is throwing up on SSE instructions. So I've disabled them for everyone. Any loss in speed should be negligible. However, this is the first time I've ever heard of this happening.
