I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your issue, but I had a problem with a black screen when a DVD finished, which required me to kill MP and restart it. It turned out to be because I was using EVR (on XP SP3). Switching back to VMR9 fixed it.

Same here, with all decoder types. Sometimes radio also crashes at stop after playing it for a while. Nothing is described in the MP logs, only in windows application event logs the following two messages appears every time:

.NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.832 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A0592A2) (80131506)

    followed by:

    Faulting application mediaportal.exe, version 0.9.2.19657, stamp 487efb9c, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.832, stamp 461f2e2a, debug? 0, fault address 0x00032ca2.

Eroors also happen with .net2 SP1 and .net3 SP1 installed. Maybe someone can check the attached logfiles.

    Regards
