Crashes on BasicHome screen (1 Viewer)

There is an entry in the issue tracker, and its been assigned to a developer. Its scheduled to be fixed for MP 1.0.1.

The bug reports don't really get updated much, they are simply logged, and then once something is fixed, they close the bug report.

MP 1.0.1 is scheduled for release March 15th is I remember correctly, so take a look then and see if its fixed

I know, just sucks that we have to wait so long. Seems like forever since I've been able to use any skin with MP like Aeon or StreamedMP. Was just wondering if anyone had some inside info as to the progress.

Fixing bugs (and other development) is done on free time. So sometimes it will just take time...

I understand that. That wasn't what I was asking. I know you guys work hard on this stuff and don't get me wrong, I appreciate it. I was just asking if anyone knew the progress of the fix. But I guess no one is talking so it's fine. I'll wait till the next release.

From what I understand, it requires a major change to the skinning engine of MP. Maybe that's why it is taking so long...But if you want someone to test out a "fix," I'd be more than happy.

True... I also have a bad feeling this won't get in for 1.0.1 and this bug makes MP nearly unusable for me. Switching to Blue3 is not an option... ugh!

I wish I shared your optimism on this one, but the bug hasn't even moved to "work in progress" yet since it was submitted back in January - that's nearly two months of no activity with the bug report. Either a huge change is coming down the pipes or they simply don't know how to fix this one (or perhaps the person that has the bug assigned to him/her simply doesn't have time to fix it, who knows).

Does anyone know if the Monochrome skin is affected by the bug? At this point I think I'm just going to go to a more simple skin that isn't affected and leave it at that (I pray I don't have to use the Blue skin, not my style). I'm not waiting till 1.0.2 or later for a fix if it isn't coming to 1.0.1...

I think the monochrome skin is not affected. I know Black&White is not affected and I think it supports nearly 100% of all plugins..

I still use the streamed MP skin though. Im not bothered so often with a crash. maybe once a week at most.

For me it's every time I use MP. I back out of plugins a lot I guess...

Well at least two skins don't seem to be affected. I love StreamedMP, but I just can't keep using it if this problem persists. I'll go ahead and start configuring/using Monochrome and Black&White and see which I like better. Thanks.
