That's where the channel logo goes. The skin you are using doesn't show the channel numbers.

What skins support that then do you know? I assume i wont see channel numbers but when i setup my harmony one and press for example 401 it will show on screen and goto sky sports 1?

You can install the above pack to sort most of the logos out

On screen numbers when watching tv and pressing numeric keys will only show in mp 1.3 alpha and above, again it's skin dependant but the skin files can be edited to show the numbers. I'll hunt the file to edit if you are on 1.3 alpha


What skin are you using, looks like maya to me. It should show the numbers in the epg, make sure you have show channel numbers ticked in configuration.

Mediaportal configuration -> tv -> tick show channel numbers

Also untick select channel by index if its ticked, this will let you change channel by sky numbers ( eg 401 for sports hd 1)

Cheers guys, i will download that logo pack and place it in plug ins i assume?

I am using 1.2.3 onelegend and yes the skin i am using is maya but i have not really looked into skins, just picked the first 1 i liked. I have channel numbers ticked but cannot see anything, where abouts is this select channel by index as i cant seem to find it?

Logo pack is an installer, does it for you

Select channel by index is in the mediaportal configuration tool, just click tv on the left (note its the separate mediaportal configuration tool, not from within mediaportal)

May I suggest starting a new thread under the mediaportal 1, general support forum, getting a bit off topic in here

downloaded the pack and it displays some logos but not others? i assume the skin does not support some?

Channel names change, sometimes frequently causing the image to not show.

Djblu has a new version of data grabber out soon that will automatically grab logos when it is release.

Oh right ok. So all logos are never always there with any skin?
