Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (3 Viewers)

Hi Dragon,

1.3.RC just won't install for me on 1.3 Final. It will not upgrade the database and then prevents me from opening up TV Server config. This is why I'll have to wait until a 1.3 Final version

Ok, I went back to my fully working 1.2.0 and installed official 1.3.0RC over that no probs, then installed DJblu's latest over that and still get the database upgrade issue.
Don't really want to do a complete uninstall and start from scratch.......too much pain.

PS. I am using Image For Windows which makes it EASY to switch between different OS images. Highly recommended.

fully installed and working like a charm so happy! but...... i cant install any skins anymore.. they are all being rejected as incompatible???

Same here, except I skipped the 1.3.0RC install and went straight to DJBlu's latest. Database error on upgrade... bugger.

Looks like an error due to there already being a seriesId column.

Edit: Tried dropping the seriesId and seriesTermination columns, database upgrades and can get into SetupTV but the TV Channels and Radio Channels sections don't work. I'm just going to cut my losses and drop the whole mptvdb needed to do a retune anyway

Thanks Atomic, I did begin to suspect such, but I read your post (#2005) which said you had the plugin working with 1.3 Final, so just assumed that the latest release would work. I don't know how to build and merge from github, so I'll just have to wait for the proper version to be released.

I hope Djblu becomes free soon so he can release to you, i would upload the files i have but dont want to be seen as `treading on anyones toes`.

Hi there,

Put 1.3 RC on my HTPC with the custom grabber over the weekend and it is great - I was particularly impressed by how much faster the recorded programs folder now opens - used to take ages with 1.3 Alpha.

Porky as you said above, if you just want the SKY Epg and Series Link, you can just install this grabber and turn all the other extras (like channel movement etc.) off and it does the job fine.

I mentioned above (post #2001) that I was a little unsure as to how to have these settings in the DVB EPG and the general response was that it doesn't really matter as the Sky Grabber plugin essentially takes over.

I am currently using the following:

DVB EPG

Always try to fill holes - Y
Always try to update existing entries - Y
Enable CRC Check - N
Grab EPG whilst timeshifting/recording - N
Grab EPG whilst idling - Y (with default number minutes)
These seem fine at the moment and I shall stick with these unless anyone can confirm any necessary changes.

One other quick thing with regards to upgrading my client only PCs to 1.3RC.

Am I correct that I need to install the regular version of 1.3RC and then install the two applicable SVN files on top (i.e. Mediaportal SVN and TVServer SVN)?

Save him some time and give a lot of feedback on v1.3F

Ok ive attached the 2 files and i hope this works for you all, im running this on my main machine without issue as far as i can tell

install 1.30 final and then install these two files to update the db etc and then copy over the custom data grabber file from post 1 and also copy either the freesat or sky plugin you want to use and you should be good to scan for channels and setup.
