Does the plugin have an option to retrieve only Freesat from Sky channels though? I know you could create a channel group, but that's kinda one of the benefits of the plugin that it was automatically managed. Plus it removes dead channels and introduces the new ones automatically.. I only want to see those channels in my guide (Sky Freesat channels), none of the others.

Or is it a manual job?

There is a tickbox to ignore scrambled channels in the plugin.

Hi, Since 1.4 I am getting many "TV Server Lost Connection" issues, so have to keep re-booting to watch TV.
So last night I done a complete re-install, New Win 7, MP 1.4 DJBlu's patch, ect, all fresh.
This morning had another "TV Sever Lost Connection" after about 2 mins of turning on.
While running 1.3 I had a rock solid system for many many months, so I don't think is is hardware related.
I have attached logs, although i'm not sure it is anything to do with DJBlu's release, but won't get support anywhere else.
Many thanks for the best Media Centre out there, if I can only get rid of this issue.
Cheers.

@metropolis

Just had a quick look at your sys specs and noticed 3 systems. Were you on the main (Server) both playing and watching or were you playing from the server and watching on one of the others? I'm assuming with the "Connection Lost" error that you were on another system. Also are you running MP client or something like XBMC? I'm not going to look at the logs because they probably won't make sense to me! I have 1.4 with this plugin running on Win 7 x64 serving 5 PC's and laptops plus running a web server and it's rock solid. Not my system that's listed, it's on a AMD A10 5800K new build that I've just made. I'm just wondering if it's a share/network/firewall issue more than an application one. As you know, it's easy to miss a simple bit when you do a full re install.

A bit more info on the setup and which client etc

Hi, sorry, the issue is on the main server, and all are MP clients, but the issue occurs when just using the server, so not a client issue.
This issue has been around ever since 1.4 for me, so thats why I tried a complete re-install, unfortunatley same issue, "Connection Lost" problems still occur.

metropolis, can you set your server to a static IP address if you haven't already and set your MP TV Server and MP client to look for the IP address you set and not loopback or DNS name. I'm not saying it's the problem but it's worth a try.

I think you can set to look for IP in the client.... I mainly use XBMC plus I'm at work and can't check.... so I'm guessing ;)

Ill give it a try and report back. I also turned off the plugin, and run it manually.
Ill let you know how I get on.

Cheers.

Hi DJBlu,

Just wanted to let you know, as someone else has pointed out, since putting the sky uk 1.4.0.6 in, I have only 1 of my dual DVB-S2 cards listed, the card is a DVBSky S952.

I have done the deleting of the skyuk settings and dropping the database completely, both have not fixed the issue.

Let me know if you need logs etc.

Same here on the same card.

Still shows as 2 in the tuners so I'm presuming that it's just using the one listed for grabbing the EPG.

Other than the little glitch it is working very well. I remember testing this along time ago and I'm glad I decided to give it another go..... Excellent work.

Also had the same problem (same card) and had to roll back to the previous version as in my case it only mapped the channels to card it could "see" - whilst i could manually map them to the other tuner i thought it would cause problems when channels were moved or added as the grabber would only update the one tuner and not the other.

FIXED!!!
This is what I did:

1. Changed from DHCP to fixed IP address on server
2. I enabled 'Allow this card to be preloaded' in the TV Server\Edit Card Properties for each card (I think this actually fixed it)

I think V1.4 has a problem with this being un-ticked for my particular card, TBS 6984.
Cheers.

I think this has been alluded to already, but there's a small issue in the plugin with tuner names. If more than one tuner in MP has the same name, then only one entry appears for those tuners in the cards / mapping select tuners page. I have 4 tuners, all of which have the same name in MP, so only one entry appeared for all of them on the page. There may have been an issue around the plugin using anything other than the first instance it found of a tuner with that name too. I couldn't test it much but it seemed like if the first of the four tuners that the plugin came across was busy, it would not look at the other 3.

Glad you got it sorted.

Try and get into the habit of ANY type of server.... Static IP. It does save a lot of hassle at times. Not sure about the preload side of it as I've never had to use it but if it works, leave it.

@ears Yes that makes sense with the cards being named the same only one shows.

@T.J I just checked on mine and both tuners have exactly the same channels mapped. I've not added any at all so I'm not sure why yours would only map to one card. I did delete all my channels before I ran this plugin... could it be that?
