Just for your info. I had a 1.2RC setup working fine. I have a custom set of channels created from merging a full scan with the sky plugin plus DVB-T channels and then all but the channels I care about deleted. I then have the option to scan for channels/update them turned off. everything worked well with 1.2RC (with the original 1.2Rc DJBlue svn files). Over the weekend I updated my system by simply installing the 1.2.1 SVNs posted earlier I did not install the official 1.2 or 1.2.1 release (I figured why not try it at worst I will have to trash it and start again). The update went fine and my system is working well (again with the channel update stuff turned off)...

    Maybe I got lucky?

Thanks for all the great work

I know DJ blu maybe away, But i'll point it out anyway.

The Set Modulation to "Not set" option fixes SD channels but then breaks HD channels with many cards

I suggest in the cards mapping options to Manually for each of the 3 major modulations in Use "DVB-S Qpsk" "DVB-s2 Qpsk" and "DVB-s2 8psk" with drop down boxes

Happague Nova s2 cards for example use
    DVB-S Qpsk = modnotset
    DVB-S2 Qpsk = QPSK
    DVB-S2 8psk = 8psk

My TT-3200 budget works fine if you use the drivers intended for media centre as it will worth with ether DVB-s2 modulation with ether Qpsk or 8psk set. but it still needs mod not set for DVB-S

So you cannot fix this simply with a mod not set option. But it is quicker edit out the dvb-s channels of the tranponder data to then scan the dvb-s2 channels but lose the channel numbers.

OK, I have just got DVB-T up and running again after a couple of years of just DVB-S, so I now have X2 DVB-S, X1 DVB-S2 and X2 DVB-T.
So like Gloomyandy have the problem of trying to populate the EPG for all cards.
Currently I used the DVB-T EPG grabber to fill the DVB-T, then ran DJBlu's DVB-S grabber, nothing ticked except update EPG only.
So far so good, but would be good to get a simpler method.

    Cheers.

Anyone managed to get the DVB-T2 HD EPG working? There's another thread around here somewhere in which DJBlu has posted a patch or somesuch to decode this, but I've no idea whether this is compatible with the satellite plugin.

    Any advice?

I found out the reason for the errors those of you having problems YESSS.

Ok guys new svn's being uploaded its very important to follow my steps

    1. Uninstall everything. drop database etc
    2. install 1.2.1 offical
    3. install my new svns (be here soon)
    4. setup and scan (you will get the error but dont worry)
    5. IMPORTANT you now must drop the database again.
    6. redo settings (i know it sounds strange) and run the sky grabber and bang its works.

Do ask me why im guessing they added some new things to the database with the new build.

    Hi,

So like Gloomyandy have the problem of trying to populate the EPG for all cards.

I find that combining the DVB-T channels with the DVB-S channels and just using the DVB-S sky grabber works best. That way you get series links for the DVB-T channels. The only tricky ones are the channels that are encrypted on sky, in this case you can still combine the encrypted version with the DVB-T version but then when you assign the card to that channel mark the DVB-S assignments to be used for EPG only. This way MP will not attempt to tune into the DVB-S version to record a program.

I use the standard channel scan to populate the channel list and update it. I delete all of the channels I don't use. I think in theory you can use the sky grabber to update the channel list by turning off the option to use the sky region, but I've not tried doing that yet!

I've not used the DVB-T epg for some time so I assume that series link is still not supported?

Sky uk plugin is still working fine. Not had any problems with it apart from it not removing updated channels. Hopefully once thats sorted it will be %100.
