Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (4 Viewers)

Sky uk plugin is still working fine. Not had any problems with it apart from it not removing updated channels. Hopefully once thats sorted it will be %100.

I know why this is happening so it should be fine in future versions. I have been away for 3 weeks so I'll be back on it shortly.

You'll be pleased to know I have just thrown an old Pinnacle DVB-T card in my dev machine and am looking into EIT from freeview.

I can understand how it is frustrating but the plugin was developed for DVB-S only. I haven't looked into combining channels but it should be safe to select the Add/Update channels as it will only update DVB-S tuning details.

Hi DJBlu! Did you get anywhere with DVB-T? Also, is the Freesat Grabber on the first page the most up to date one? I've just read through all 67 pages of this thread and it's hard to tell...

Basically I'm a cheapskate who doesn't want to pay for Sky but has a DVB-T2/DVB-S2 card and wants to be able to tune in to as many channels as possible.

Do I need the Sky UK grabber for FTA sky channels or won't I be able to get them anyway without a CAM/Viewing Card?

Hi DJBlu There still seams to be a problem with updating channels etc. Yesterday i notice that a channel changed name from something like 3891 to cartoon network HD. However cart network HD was not added to the tv guide and every scan there after said channel cartoon network HD changed name to cartoon network HD. (sadly i dont have the logs) So i deleted cartoon network HD and did a rescan and it was added correctly.

edit i've just noticed the same thing and this time its logged.

1 shows 2011-09-16 03:01:28.157269 [(20)]: Sky Plugin : Channel 3875 name changed to Disney Chnl HD. however it does not get added to the epg.

2 shows 2011-09-16 12:32:39.791485 [(11)]: Sky Plugin : Channel Disney Chnl HD name changed to Disney Chnl HD. whichs will keep happening every scan till i deleted Disney Chnl HD

3 shows a scan after i deleted Disney Chnl HD (which again is now correct in the epg).

Do you have "Use Sky Regions" selected?

No i dont use "Use Sky Regions" as a rule. We dont have itv1 HD in are region and if i have it ticked it keeps removing itv1 HD on each scan.

Edit I do however have "Use Sky Regions" If i'm doing a fresh channel line up then i uncheck it. Hope that helps cheers

I have fixed this error.

This has been in the code from day 1 and I can't believe how stupid I was!

Cheers For That I'll give it a run now and report back as there are a few out of date channels in my list at the mo.

Ive been able to replicate the channels not being deleted correctly by going to a channels tuning details eg sky sports hd2 and changed the service id from 3881 to 9999 then run a scan and the plugin adds a new channel with 3881 but does not remove the incorrect one (9999) as far as i can see this is what happends every time a channel updates. And also as i've said before the new channels get added to the end of the listings and not in the correct place. Anyway if you need more info just do as i've done above and your see it face on. Yesterdays fix works perfect with channel name changed to channel name bug cheers for now
