Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (3 Viewers)

Hi

Fresh install - installed newest power scheduler as it shows its next wake up event.

Tried to keep it simple, let me know if you need more log data - set MP to debug mode before setting anything up.

I added a screengrab in attached file also - this shows my test.
Initially the wake up event was set to 03:00 (epg wake)
I then set via Quick record ITV news at 10 as a series link recording
Straight after Jaws the revenge is on - set this to record as record once.

Now looking at powerscheduler on right side of screen you can see the next wake up event is for Jaws, it should be ITV news.

As akiaki mentioned, if machine is left on or manually switched back on - series link entry does in fact record.

Now i've just worked something out. I set a recording last night and my machine never woke up to record. After disabling the epg wakeup section in power scheduler i tried again and bang it woke up recorded and after went back to sleep. And the really interesting part to this is theres another plugin Called WebEPG if i set that to wake up for epg grabbing it wont wake again!!! So i seams not to be the plugins its something to do with epg grabbing auto wake up. If someone could repeat what i've done and see if you get the same results. Not sure whats causing this but its a long standing bug thats for sure. cheers

My EPG is grabbed while idle so that is not a fix for me, I am not 100% sure but I think this all started with the SVN version with the plugin installed, I think "clean" 1.2.2 version worked fine... The problem in my case is not the schedule itself as I see in the log that it is written, but the wakeup..
Something is messed up in this SVN version maybe?

I don't believe that is the case, I was having series link wake up problems back in thread 67 which was late September time, just never looked into it

ok, i just remembered that I have the epg scheduled from inside the sky plugins, not sure if that was what you were reffering to, I disabled them now, and I will test a couple of recordings...
but my wife thinks I made all this up since it failed to record ellen show with Shemar Moore on really last week
as I was writing this, I made a scheduled recording and the htpc is sleeping and not waking up... all epg grabbing schedules disabled...

btw, where can i find series link features??


edit: it woke up! a little late i guess but it did!

Mine only fails when I set a recording up via series link, in mediaportal config, under tv there is settings for quick record menu

Can tick once, daily, weekly, series link is one of them - have to tick use quick record menu.
When you press r or record it should give you option for series link

I'm finding that some recordings just don't finish on this build (Setup-TvEngine-git-1.2.0.173). I don't know if its the custom grabber code or the tbs changes or something else.

Anyway, 6 nations rugby is still recording a good hour after the game ended - I had this with other programmes and found a 100gb recording of postman pat (not for me!).

Some programmes stop recording ok, whereas others continue till my harddrive croaks.
I struggle to stop these recordings - using the menu on the client only froze the client. Trying to stop the TV Sevice leaves it in Shutting Down. My only recourse is a reboot.

I'm getting complete freezes - 3 times today.. I have to power off and back on.. Does it with live tv or just watching a movie.. Nothing in the event logs whatsoever.. Not had time to check media portal logs yet..

Am wondering if it's tbs driver related.. Anyone else suffering complete freezes?

My tv stream has frozen a few times, channel change clears it for me tho

This is the reason I based everything on the SVN as there are now ..

I don't know if its the ...

I will be releasing a version based on the git master and that will get support. When and if all bugs are fixed on the TBS driver I will merge it. If you wish to merge them and try them then please do but note it will not be supported in here.

I will fix the wake up issue as the series link isn't submitting a wake up request with the powerscheduler.

Think I resolved tbs issue, dodgy card reader as it blipped out this morning - will update if I see any issues.

Edit: from what I can recall, fta never froze as well
Since running the nostop mod, no freeze seen

Edit 2: rolled out to testing on 3 machines - no hiccups seen so far testing freesat.
