Its to get the episode name and number and series number - which sadly doesn't come across in your plugin (I assume that's because its not broadcast).
What I'm doing is using the plugin to create and save the xml file to a specific directory but not import. I've then written a batch script that runs in the middle of the night to match the xml file to both recordings and schedules to set the episode details.
It is in the logs as I was setting it up again following a clean install of 1.4.0.

I spoke too soon. I just cannot get a stable and consistent picture on live tv. I don't know if it is a plugin, codec MePo or driver issue.

I'm using a new TBS6981 card, but I'm beginning to think there may be an issue with it.

Logs attached in case anyone can shed any light on it?

Mediaportal just crashed on me and had to ctrl alt del to get system back. Further logs (tv server) attached, as it seems the grabber started at a similar time? Crash was at approx. 18:40.

Gah!

EDIT : To further confuse things, if I watch recorded TV instead of live, then it is fine and has recorded perfectly???

Added a new plugin on page 1 which should fix the stuttering for many.

Even with this option, I still get discontinuities on my clients when I start a grab.

The "channels updated" counter also looks broken. Instead of going from e.g. "4/650" to "5/650", it goes from "4/3" to "5/4", etc.

Ok, I lied. My problems exist on live tv and recordings. I'm going to try disabling the grabber plugin so that I can at least eliminate that as being the issue or not..

I had streamlined the way the EPG is added. I have also made it so the logo's are centred in the square, looks neater on the screen.

Quick question.

What PCIEx slot have you got your card installed in?

I ask as I had mine in the 16x and it caused stuttering and such. I moved it the 4x and I am problem free.

It's worth a shot moving it to another slot to see if it helps.

I only have a x16 - it's a mini-itx board. My TBS6984 worked great - unfortunately I sold it so ended up buying another TBS6981!!

It really is driving me mad - it's pretty bad and whereas I used to have rock steady lines on Shift 1, they are a bit jumpy now..

Not sure if the PCIe slot can be altered in the BIOS or not?

Can you try a clean install of MediaPortal and see if you get stuttering.

Install and scan for a few channels then try recording/timeshifting, just so we know if it's the custom mod.
