Ok, another question!

Is there anyway to get the power button to bring the PC back on after using it to put it on standby?

Assuming your PC's motherboard supports it, you'd have to enable S3 standby and USB wakeup in BIOS. I have it working on several HTPCs I have setup at home, but it usually takes a few presses to successfully wake the PC up.

Am I suppossed to have CyberlinkPCMRemteControl.exe and CyberlinkPCMRemoteTray.exe both in the system tray?

The reason I ask is my mediaportal keeps crashing, and I'm sure I've never noticed them both there before...

No, only use the 4 files from the 'Files' folder, not the 'Release' folder:

- copy xml file in 'Files\InputDeviceMappings' folder to its corresponding folder (MP user dir or program dir)
- copy dll file in 'Files\plugins\process' to its corresponding folder in MP program dir
- copy ahk and dll files in 'Files\startup' to anywhere you like and create a shortcut of CyberLinkRCEmul.ahk to the startup folder. You can then press the home button to launch MP.

You should then only have one Autohotkey.exe process running the CyberLinkRCEmul.ahk script.

:D to Uptownboy for the Cyberlink remote files - I've followed the instructions and most buttons work on the remote. However there are some that still don't work - such as the shortcut buttons and DVD Menu.
Can anyone give me a pointer on how to manually configure these buttons in the MP config please?

Also, I have a Harmony remote - has anyone managed to emulate a Microsoft MCE remote with one of these with a IRDA receiver?

Thanks

The essence is in associating the key codes sent out by CyberLinkRCEmul.ahk (AutoHotkey key relay script) with the button codes defined in CyberlinkPCMRemotePlugin.xml (MediaPortal Input Map). For example, the key code assigned to the Radio button = ^a(Ctrl-A) = 10000('^') + 65('a') = 10065. You should be able to figure it out after trying out a few values.

I am using the CyberLink dongle with a Harmony 525. Simply select the device as a Cyberlink PowerCinema 4 PC to automatically map the correct button codes.

Ok, thanks - will give it a try.

With regards to the Harmony - I was wondering if I could use the existing Cyberlink IRDA device as a receiver, but code the Harmony as a Microsoft MCE remote - which seems to be the most compatible device. However I tried that last night and failed, so I assume the Cyberlink receiver must only recognise Cyberlink commands :(

Cheers

I have installed Windows 7 Home Premium and when I try to run the "CyberlinkPCMRemoteTray.exe" file I get the error message "RegisterDecice fehlgeschlagen. Errorcode: -3"

I have been running is successfully in Vista for ages with no probs, but cannot seem get it recognise in Windows 7. I have autohotkey installed, and that seems to be fine

This plugin is working good for me -- thanks for the update Uptownboy :D

Has anyone managed to map all the buttons yet? Like the "Home" button, and the fast forward / rewind buttons.

Cheers.
