hi cybermage!

i have a problem with wrong date and time format with you driver.

i set date and time in frontview like this:

16/04/2008 WED
15:34:00
thats the way i wana have it.

in your display driver configuration, i have set: ensure that imon is running, to activatet.
its running fine, in the format above, i wana have, till media-portal ends.

after i exit mediaportal, i get a wrong format of date an time. it looks like this:
APR 16, 2008
pm/am 03:34:00

thats horrible for me;( i don t wana have this in this format;((

hope you can help me.

regards

dude, is this your outstanding problem? it might be useful to highlight it for the cybr-man
he is one of the hardworking folk 'round here and i'm sure he does not mean to diss you by not responding immediately to your request
i'm guessing he's volunteering, as he happens to have an interest, using an Antec case himself
i count myself lucky to have his support
if there's blame to be cast, its to antec and their drivers/lcd etc.

by the way, i'm amazed you can even read the display on the Antec, the blue-blue is terrible on my lcd black
i couldn't tell the time on it without being squat in front of it !!!!

dude it seems that you have understund me in a wrong way.

what i am trying to explain is that:

first i have a vfd and no antec something.
i use tihs option only that the display driver gives control back to frontfiew after mp is exiting.

this works.
after i exit mp, i have controlled my display through frontfiew.
but the format of time and date is wrong then.
i have settet it correct in frontfiew.
it works till mediaportal is startet.
then the cbr-driver takes controll of my display. like it should be.
but after exiting, frontfiew takes control again of my display but its showing me, date and time in a wrong format.

i think the ressaon therefore is, that the cybr-display driver gives that in a wrong format to frontview after mediaportal is exiting.
therefore i wrote this reuqest.
don t wana diss anybody. but for me its a serious problem and i have had the impression, that i got ignored. becouse in the meantime, many other people was getting help exept me.
no word about my request.
if the impression that i got ignored, is wrong then sorry. but till i get help, i think so. i have no other choice, becouse of the fact, i was wroting above.

greetings

ok, any of the more knowledgeable people on this thread may either correct me or confirm this, but I do believe that once you exit MediaPortal, there's nothing the CybrDisplay plugin can do (or might have done) to influence the displayed date/time format. So my guess is that what you're seeing is entirely up to the FrontView application.

Maybe there's still some way to control it or make changes, but like I said, I believe it has nothing to do with the plugin.

Just my 2 cents... :)

You could try to start your MP from a batch. Afer the end of MP stop and restart Frontview from that batch.

hi Mercbac!

thx for you answer.
well, i have sett the correct date and time format in frontview. that it shwos me wrong time and date format, i have no other explanation as, that the cyb-display driver is giving the format in a wrong way to frontview back, after mp is exiting. sure, maybe i am total wrong with this sugestion:) i only have not so much experience with this stuff. for me its only important, that i get the correct format of date and time, if mediaportal is exiting. not more.

Sorry, but that I might not now. Otherwise, I just lively, and both of them got nothing. Of course, I respect someone in his spare enormous work to be adopted, and, of course, it was only a desire to help me and no demands.
I also explained why I had the impression, to be ignored. If you can see the difference, then it is your very good, I see it at any rate the same.

Bus Hound Data

parkuhr, I have different hardware than you but I tried to duplicate your results. I could not make it jumble up the time. I even changed my time format to see if that matters. For my setup it always went back to the correct time format. Do you have an option to force a "Restart Antec/iMon Frontview Manager on exit" checked? Maybe this will reset it so your time is correct.

cybrmage, now that I know what you want from Bus Hound I think I have the data. I set up iMon Manager then closed it. Started Bus Hound logging then opened iMon Manager. Then hit "Stop" and saved. Changed settings in iMon Manager and repeated.

Line 6 on each of these 2 files is different.

bus_hound_5.txt = Initial mouse mode set to keyboard and mouse stick operating in keyboard mode when I closed iMon Manager

bus_hound_6.txt = Initial mouse mode set to mouse and mouse stick operating in mouse mode when I closed iMon Manager.

Line 6 / Bus Hound 5 = 38.0 OUT 12 00 00 00 70 5b 27 03 ....p['. 3.2.0

Line 6 / Bus Hound 6 = 38.0 OUT 12 00 00 00 00 6c 27 03 .....l'. 3.2.0

To get this data I have to have Frontview set to "Always" so when I open iMon Manager data gets sent to Bus Hound.

I have also enclosed test 19 logs.

I'm guessing that FrontView will send a different initialization for each format. If so you have to log with the USB logger suggested some posts ago and attach them to this thread.

I'm sure CybrMage can help fix this as he also fixed all others reported issues ;)
