The configuration.exe stays in memory, after this crash, and has to be killed through task manager

You have installed the MatrixGX support files... They force MediaPortal to use a different version of the log4net.dll... but it does not force the TVServer to use the new dll... and this is causing the log4net.dll to be mismatched... (which usually isn't a problem... As I'm the only one who actually uses the MatrixGX driver as far as I know...)

I have attached a zip file... extract the contents into your MediaPortal installation directory... (YES, overwrite the files when prompted)... It should resolve your problem..

Well, I struck a problem: I couldn't make it crash.

Umm... I would hardly call that situation a problem.... 8-}
Glab it's working for you...

I'll have to take a look at the "bouncy bars" problem... It definately shouldn't be doing that!!! 8-}

All these observations come from LCDHype.

Interesting information... Thank you!!

It appears that the backlight control does not work the way I expected.... So I've recoded the backlight control in the wrapper (again!!)... Please try todays version and let me know what it does...

Nope I get the same error, but I will revert back to a image before this, and then try an install without the MatrixGX
But one thing, MUST this be so:
<add key="version" value="0.2.3.0" />
and not so:
<add key="version" value="1.0.0.0 RC1" />

I guess this is why it suddenly claims to be 0.2.3 and not the 1.0.0.0 I installed?

    Hi!

    I have just started to use this plugin, and I just got to say that I am amazed!
    Great stuff :D

    There is two things I miss though.

    First, a spoiler in the firstpost with the changelog. It has gotten massive now, and scrolling takes some time.

    Second, is it possible for you to use any of the "special" LCD stuff? Talking about an iMon LCD here, and all those buttons around the main LCD screen?

    Such as the;
    Replay, Shuffle, Alarm, Recording, Vol, Time on the left side

    MPG, DIVX, XVID, WMV (video formats)
    MPG, AC3, DTS, WMA, MP3, OGG, WMA, WAV (audioformats)
    All of these are below the main LCD

    The speaker setup

    L C R
    SL LFE SR
    RL SPDIF RR

    If so, I would love this plugin evenmore :D

    I guess the tricky part will be to get the plugin to get the info needed to light those buttons up...

    Image applied and
    Plugin installed without MatrixGX, but
    But when I start configuration I get the error
    Failed to locate assembly MSASState, version 6.0.6000.0
    Note that the program must be executed from inside mediaportal folder.

    I have Vista 32bit, SP1 - every time it wakes up from hibernation, it says that Mediaportal was closed unexpected, or someting like that, mayby there is another error in the installation.

    Hi,

    I have just installed a new VFD (Originae) in a MP client which uses IRtrans software.

    With LCD smartie running I get control over the display and it is showing date and time.

    I can't seem to get this plugin to communicate with it.

    It may be that I am just completely missing something here.

    Do I need lcd smartie running as well, or have I got that wrong?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    The remote part works fine for me (I know that another post mentioned this not working on a kit by the same firm).

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hello Cybrmage!

    Just sniffed my USB! Hehe!

    Using LCDHype(and the Alphacool tool that also uses LCDHype) i managed to peek this:

    TURNING THE DISPLAY OFF:
    Device Object USBPDO-4
    Driver Object usbhub

    URB Function URB_FUNCTION_CONTROL_TRANSFER
    URB Status USBD_STATUS_SUCCESS

    Endpoint 0 Default Control

    Request Type Vendor request to Device
    Request 43h
    Value 0000h <------- That is off
    Index 0000h
    Length 0000h

    TURNING THE DISPLAY ON:
    Device Object USBPDO-4
    Driver Object usbhub

    URB Function URB_FUNCTION_VENDOR_DEVICE

    Request Type Vendor request to Device
    Request 43h
    Value 00FFh <-------------That is on. Could be 127 or less....At least above 1!
    Index 0000h
    Length 0000h

    MP with Cybrdisplay only sends the off sequence, that is the one 43h with Value 0000h at the beginning...

    43h with increasing/decreasing values is also sent for brightness(moving the lcd slider), but as i told you earlier, anything above 1 is ON,anything less is OFF.

    Needless to say that it once again didn't work and i am pretty sure that if the plugin was alive it would resemble a spoiled child with a bad temper! Heh!
    Please, hold on a little bit more. I think we are getting somewhere. Right?

    Thanks for being so patient,
    Stefanos

    is it possible for you to use any of the "special" LCD stuff?

    The iMon driver already uses (most of) these icons. Icons that are not used either are not appropriate for use, or can not be used due to lack of status information.

    I have Vista 32bit, SP1 - every time it wakes up from hibernation, it says that Mediaportal was closed unexpected, or someting like that, mayby there is another error in the installation.

    I think you may be having other issues.... do this:

    1) Uninstall the CybrDisplay plugin
    2) Get MediaPortal running without issues
    3) install the CybrDisplay plugin (without MatrixGX support file)
    4) test MediaPortal
    5) Post MediaPortal logs if the plugin causes issues

    Just sniffed my USB! Hehe!

    Interesting, but as I said, not usefull (except for verifying that there is an on/off command)

    Needless to say that it once again didn't work and i am pretty sure that

    And I'm pretty sure that without LOGS there is nothing else I can do!! (MediaPortal logs specifically!!)

    Hello

    I'm following this thread with much interest. The display works fine and adds to the user-experience of MediaPortal. Thanx for that!!

    However, i have an issue which may or may not have to do with this plugin: when i push a button on my MCE-remote: de signals seems to be given twice: so I never get to play a movie, because the signal to enter the directory is immediately follwed by the second signal which gets out of the directory...Changing settings of the CybreDsply-configuration doesn't seem to make any difference..

    Does anybody have (had) the same problem?? I.e.: is it a plugin issue or a MP-issue????

    The minute my wife stops watching TV I'll try to get a log....

    cheers
