OK, rebuilt my system and finally worked out that damn DVICO Dual Tuner. Won't be buying that piece of Korean technology again (long story).

I can confirm that starting and stopping frontview once MP is started results in display working + remote working.

MP (without the display plugin enabled) definitely "inteferes" with the IMON driver when it first starts up by kicking the remote out of keyboard mode and into mouse mode. With the display driver enabled, it does it's frontview check and disable, and stops the remote altogether.

Here are some logs of the test (driver enabled, and manually starting and stopping frontview after MP starts).

which IMON version are you using, I noticed the problem with the new 7.01.... IMON driver. Wehen Frontview is turned of the remote only works in mouse mode. I'm using Ver.6.01.0122, and i don't have any problems with keybord mode. I can control MP with my remote for about 5 to 10 seconds till the display turns on then the remote is not usable anymore.

Yes, I have the same behaviour with the latest 7.01 drivers as well, so I went back to the originals supplied with my case: 6.20.0830 (Silverstone). This driver stays in keyboard mode when frontview is disabled outside of MP, but as soon as MP starts, it kicks it into mouse mode. Then when the display driver starts, it dies.

Hi Cybermage and thanks for your great work !
I use your plugin in Antec Fusion Black 430 with iMON LCD OEM.
But I have some problems :
- Dislpay don`t turn off always . If I close MediaPortal application (Alt-F4) then display turn off correctly. If I press power off button on remote controller then my HTPC completely turn off but LCD display remained active.
- File names of some my movies consist of cyrillic characters ( like "видео.avi" ). I cannot see this filenames during video playback (I don`t use graphic mode of display). It is possible correct this in your plugin ? ( phrase from soundgraph site "iMON OEM (LCD) products can display every languages including 2 bytes character type as like Korean, Japanese and Chinese and change the property of displaying font property as like font type, size, bold and italic. ")
- For example, I use playlist, which consist of one 10min and one 15 min videofiles. When MP start playing second videofile, time info will not changed and i see on second line string like 10:00/10:00. How time info must be processing in playlists ?

I read some topics on Soundgraphs, and seems to be the iMon driver is too buggy (without MP also). We have to wait for next iMon driver... I guess at moment CybrDisplayPlugin works fine, only the official iMon driver is useless (connect-disconnect or change back to fake mouse mode or no keyboard mode if frontview is off and etc..). There is no real solution now for iMon VFD + iMon Pad... wait the next driver from Soundgraph... phhh

Yes, the IMON driver is very buggy, but I think the real problem is the Firmware and I don't know if there will be any firmware updates for IMON products soon. I think there should be a little workaround.
Maybe CybrMage might add a check box for those who have problems with the Remote in the advanced section and then tries to set the Imon software the way it works for this people.

Yeah I hope this can be worked around with a bit of magic from Cybrmage. It's probably the way that Frontview is being disabled that screws the remote if a manual start and stop of Frontview can resolve the problem. It would also probably resolve the minor irritant of MP (with no display plugin enabled) throwing the remote into mouse mode, because the manual start and stop does put the remote back into keyboard mode.

Two companies that I will never buy products from again. Soundgraph and DVICO.

I have Imon VFD. Tried different settings, but the equalizer only shows 2 lines in normal mode. Is it normal?
Another question. I can only use the older V3 SG_VFD.dll. The V5 is not working with VFD? If I test the device, the configuration log says Open Failed - No IMON device found.

I have the Antec Fusion with the VFD display and i have the same behaviour that bmarko82 whith the equalizer in normal mode. In the other modes it works correctly.
