OK I will trie this and post the results as soon as I'm home from work.

Tried registering MPAudioSwitcher.ax and that fails with a return code of; 0xc0000005.

I can confirm the same error, with the mpaudioswitcher.ax dated feb. 24.

Tried with a mpaudioswitcher.ax file that i found on the messageboards here, dated somewhere in december,
and i can get this to register by hand.

however Installation of 1.2B fails even after manually registering the older file.

and try the same with that file?

(when you installed SVN previously did you build this yourself? did you build the directshow filters yourself?)

Since MPaudioswitcher.ax was compiled by another dev than the other filters, there could be an issue with his dev environment. We have seen this before. Look for an error in windows event log. That should show it.

Now try and register the attached file, if my hypothesis is right this should work, and we can fix the error for next release.

I can register that file fine. How do I continue the installation though? As the file is overwritten each time.

Please try this one too. It is recompiled from the latest SVN. If this works it is a build environment issue, otherwise it has to do with VS2010 update.

That version of the file gives me the same error as before. I hope that helps.
