Re: AW: DigitalDevices Dual DVB-S2 Testing (CAM/DiSEqC)

Hi Tom92,

...But what is the 'spread sprectrum of PCIe bus and power modes of the cpu in the bios'? I don't know what I have to do in BIOS?

...

Ciao
rbo.

Hi rbo,

taking a look at the manual of the Fujitsu Siemens D1562 mainboard I would try changing the following options in the bios. But please write down the original settings so you can always go back. Please note that some of those settings affect the power consumption of the computer. In case of success you can always activate one option after another and see what configuration is working.

in Advanced Menu:
- CPU HLT Detection/ CPU Halt Mode (C1E)
Standard

- Enhanced SpeedStep
Disabled

- PCI Bus Parity Checking
Disabled

- PCI Parity Checking
Disabled

in Power Menu:
- CPU HLT Detection/ CPU Halt Mode (C1E)
Disabled

- Enhanced SpeedStep
Disabled

As said above, after disabling some power saving features in my bios the Cine S2 was not so sensible anymore.
I got my information from this thread (German):
DAS hier könnte Dir helfen bei Bildfehlern und/oder Bild/Ton-Ausetzer! - MCE-Community.de

Spread Spectrum is explained over here:
Spread-Spectrum Clocking - Developer Zone - National Instruments

Good luck

Hi All,

Yesterday I spend some time in getting the tv-server 1.1.1. with DD driver 2.0.0.21 & Latest TV-Server Patch for 1.1.1 from Morpheus but with no luck.
Since I'm running a dedicated TV-Server I decided to upgraded only the TV-Server to 1.2 Alpha with the latest TV-Server patch (TVLibrary.dll) from Morpheus.

The Clients are still running MP 1.1.1.

After a new Channel Scan everything works without any error, all channels work including the CI Menu. Until now no error in changing channel.

I thought I wanted to share this since the 1.1.1. TV-Server solution didn't work for me but the TV Server 1.2 + Clients 1.1.1 work.

Regards,

Jarroz

    I will check your logfiles for the issue. Maybe there are some other changes that cause trouble

    Hi Tom92,

    thanks for your particular documentation but my test system is the one down in my signature.

    Nevertheless I've found the points in the bios of my asus-board. Certainly there's no changes. :(

    Ciao
    rbo.

    Hi everybody,

    I dont know if this is the right place for my questions since i got the new "Digital Devices DuoFlex CT" and not the DVB-S2.

    In Win MediaCenter the card works fine, also the cam menu in the DD Tool works without a problem. So I think there shouldnt be a connection problem.

    In Mediaportal i tried every single driver/setting constellation mentioned in this thread. Without success. I cant enter the cam menu and i dont find a single channel. This is what i tried:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. TV-Server 1.1.1 -> svn 1.1.1 final -> 2.0.0.20 DD-Driver
    2. TV-Server 1.1.1 -> svn 1.1.1 final v.2 -> 2.0.0.20 DD-Driver
    3. TV-Server 1.1.1 -> svn 1.1.1 final -> 2.0.0.21 DD-Driver
    4. TV-Server 1.1.1 -> svn 1.1.1 final v.2 -> 2.0.0.21 DD-Driver
    Bios: PCIe Spread "off" c1E "off"
    DD-Devices Tool: deactivate Cam for 1 or both tuners
    TV-Derver: Cam enable/disable, simultaneously decode 0,1,2, preload yes/no, generic/DVB-C, EPG yes/no
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Nothing worked. Is it actually possible to get this card running in MP?

    Last time i had to write in english is almost 10y ago, so i hope ur not sitting in front of the monitor like this: :mad:

    I attached my logs

    Hi again,

    I did a complete fresh compile and replaced the non working 1.1.1 final v2 build with a new 1.1.1 final v3. It has the same code included, but hopefully it works now.

    Please report if this version is ok.

    Hm, I am confused, the changelog said, that support for Digital Devices cards was added in 1.2.0 Alpha. But do I still need to use MP 1.1.1 and your installers from the first post instead?
