Display driver failed to start, using microsoft basic display driver instead (1 Viewer)

    This is very good advice but be aware that Win 10 will download and install the default driver immediately it sees the GPU has no driver (the old block for this no longer works) so it is very important to disconnect from the internet before using DDU and don't reconnect till you have finished installing your desired driver.
    Block still works fine here when using DDU.
    I had MP in a bootloop on startup when using the latest 417.01 drivers. Just rolled back (after cleanup in SafeMode with DDU) to 416.94 and most seems to work.
    It seems ambilight is broken with an D3DERR_INVALIDCALL error :'(

    I had MP in a bootloop on startup when using the latest 417.01 drivers.
    This is what also happened here. And I fear that I was too fast telling that everything is ok....only worked via RDP.

    So this need investigation; either it's a bug in the NVidia Display driver or some bug in MP...

    Maybe, but it failed after the graphics driver installation and before the current WIndows updates from 11/28
