I've always had one floppy dtv-c in my pc. But now i am about to add one.
I already found out how to connect the two through firewire. But do i need two cable connections for the signal?

Yeah. And imo you don't need a splitter, I don't have a firedtv, but I connected my 2 mystiques with each other over antenna out and antenna in. The firedtv looks like it has antenna out also:

That is not an antenna out.

As far as i understood that connector could not be used. No idea what it is for.

    You can always try ofcourse.

the pass-through connection is working without problems... no need to have a splitter, except you want to have another device connected to the antenna :)

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

Many thanks for the answer. So far I've used Logitech's Harmony hub. This allows you to control all components (including the media portal). I have now contacted the Sofabaton hotline. It should also work here like with the Harmony. Unfortunately, not all of the IR codes are correct. You can also learn commands here. But that doesn't...
