Does anyone know if you can play this back? I'm using SAF5 and although FFDSHOW has it selectable as a format, it doesn't work.

First of all, you need hardware that can handle bitstream audio.
Maybe you could tell me your system specs? If you use an average onboard sound chip for example, HD-audio won't work regardless of your settings just because the soundchip can't handle it.

    Cheers!

I have an ATI 5450 and can bitstream true hd and dts master hd no problems. I also have standalone BD and HDDVD and can playback the DD+ soundtracks to my amp fine when using those.

Yes, I saw that. Was beyond my understanding, however. Didn't see how to set that up. I'm a relative neophyte, who's done hardly any command-line coding. To be more specific: I don't see, under either "Grabbing Listings" or in the "First use example," where it is designated just where on one's C drive the tv.xml file is...

I would have to know more details, and ultimately, I'll have to test it when I get my new display, but an AI answer I got (I don't trust AI and this may not be correct) was that HDR is encoded with the HEVC codec and I know MePo uses the HEVC codec to play 4K UHD Blue-ray discs. So, there is at least the possibility that it will work...

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback. Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)

Looks like there's some kind of error regarding translations that I can't pinpoint about Subcentral. You'll find it in the log file I attached to my previous message. I don't understand it because I use MP in english, I search for subtitles in english and not in my native language, so I can't figure out what's translation got to do...
