Get the latest SubtitleDownloader.dll from here:
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-plugins-47/subtitledownloader-2-0-a-71651/
Put it into your Mediaportal installation directory (overwrite existing SubtitleDownloader.dll).

yes that is indeed what I did in that ticket. It may already be working without updating those plugins because most of it was not relevant to the plugin itself (test, some leftover unused parts etc).
