@corvy you might want to comment here ;)
From reading your other post, it sounds very much like what i've been seeing lately, and i also have DigitalDevices tuners (Cine CT v6 DVB-C).

Yes thanks for this @HomeY :) I have tested the new TsReader from @Owlsroost and can confirm that this works alot better! No black screen anymore one the first tune :) Had one attempt now that took about ~30 seconds and that worked fine. This long wait time usually happens for instance in the mornings after the tvserver has been idling for a long time. No probs with the long wait as long as we end up with a picture!

If you want logs please just indicate what you want and I can of course serve up. This tsreader is great for me!

I experience the same. If the tuning fails, it's mostly the first tune in the morning. My client goes into S3 after 15 minutes of idling, my TV Server runs 24/7.

Since the issues started happening after i updated my (Alphacrypt Classic) CAM to FW 3.28, i'm really curious what CAM/FW you're using with your tuner (and if you changed something recently). Last year when i updated to v3.27 i experienced the same, so rolled back to v3.25 which seems to be fine.

This CAM is running firmware AlphaCrypt Classic 3.25. I am on DVB-C and have no method to upgrade or downgrade the firmware on the CAM.
Very interesting, because that is the same FW as i am using without problems. It's the v3.27 / v3.28 versions that started to give me black screens.

Now we need your logs ;)
But first, please change 'EnableBufferLogging' to '1' in the TsReader registry settings (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Team MediaPortal\TsReader).
After that, see if you can reproduce the problem and post your logs.

    If you can't reproduce:
Make sure Loglevel in MP Configuration is set to Debug, then start using your system. Once you run into the problem, close MP and post your MediaPortal.log & TsReader.log here.

So, now it really F"#¤% up :) I got the black screen again :( :(

Had just been away in a family party for a few hours and took the opportunity to enable debugging and the reg-key before I started a first tune for a few hours. First tune was quick, but black screen. Tried on-off in TV screen, still black. Tried to tune another channel, if I remember correct this had quite some delay. Still black screen. Tried another new channel, still black. TV on-off again, now a long delay, then it finally prompted error "channel is scrambled". After this I retried on-off and then it suddenly worked. So there should be some golden logs in here :) (note, when I say on-off I just select the on-off in TV, did not restart MP during these events)

My setup is a TV server machine and a TV client machine. Current install does have SAF (LAV+Cyberlink+ffdshow) filters but set to use MS codecs right now. Reasonably resent install of Win 8.1 on both machines. Disabled IPv6.

Her are my logs from both client and server.

    boeehoeee :(

I had a quick peak, but your TsWriter.log is full of continuity errors, which indicates an issue on the server.
Hopefully @mm1352000 can find something useful in your logs related to the decryption.
